Very efficient check-in and visa registration. Internet access in lobby - fast and reliable. Staff spoke good English - which is lucky because once you leave the hotel you are on your own. I stayed in an "unreconstructed" twin room and was not impressed by the inadequate door lock, nor the general standard of decoration. The lobby, reception, bar and breakfast room were all acceptable, however. Good views across the main square and central station to the Ob river. If you require it, emphasise to the staff that you need your visa stamped. more

My wife and I have stayed at the Hotel Sibir three times, most recently in October 2004. The rooms are small but cosy. Make sure you ask for a "renovated room"; we stayed in one on the 7th floor and it was really quite nicely furnished in the European style.
