Hotel located 40 minute walk from town centre, upstairs room which was annoying considering we had to carry 2 heavy suitcases up stairs that had a wet and slippery surface . Shower did not work properly( had to hold nozzle to shower) no toilet paper provided ( had to ask) room had wooden beams , pretty average really!!! Breakfast was... More

We booked this hotel in advance for our stay in Listvyanka. We arrived in a local bus from Irkutsk and then had some difficulty locating the hotel which was some distance back along the lakeside. We eventually got a taxi to take us the 1.5 K . Our welcome was friendly but communication difficult. We were shown to our "junior... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during our Trans Mongolian/Siberian Train trip. It was really pleasant stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful even we hardly communicated. Staff do not speak English and we don't speak Russian either. The female receptionist spoke some French. We arrived in very early morning and staff checked in for us straight away... More

We stayed here for 3 nights after heing on the train for 3 nights previous so were very glad of the excellent showers, although you need to hold down a hutton constantly which is annoying. Our room was very nice and clean, consisting of a lounge, bedroom and a bathroom. The only problem with the rooms are the very thin... More

We stayed over looking the lake in February, although a little distance from the town centre it was a nice walk. The rooms were very warm and comfortable. Unable to find wifi, and no kettle in the rooms. Breakfast was included in the hotel room, would not recommend the restaurant for lunch or dinner. Would stay here again

stayed here for 3 nights during our transiberia trip in December. The hotel room we received had 2 rooms, a bedroom and a living room (with the bathroom off of the living room). The rooms were warm but the beds were lumpy and the pillows were way over stuffed and huge so it was difficult to sleep. The showers were... More

The best thing about U Ozera, if you come here to see Lake Baikal after spending four nights on the train from Moscow, is waking up to see the beautiful lake after sleeping in a bed that wasn't moving. The worst thing about it is that it isn't near anything; it's on the "outskirts" of Listvyanka, a popular weekend destination... More

Ok hotel, very good breakfast with a lot of variety. Building looks very nice from outside - all wooden and directly facing the lake. Rooms very large with sitting room area, however bathroom rather small and forniture not very nice. It is also missing an elevator and the stair is very, very steep. A bit fare from city centre

The bedrooms are in chalets so to get to the restaurant is a short walk outside - not a problem. However, when you get there, you might be disappointed. Sometimes the toast runs out and, if you want another cup of coffee or tea, you'll be charged extra for it! The staff speak little or no English and the prices... More

We stayed here for two nights in August 2011 as part of our Trans Mongolian journey with Russia Experience. Our stay here was so-so. The room and furnishings were quite dated but for a little lakeside town we didn't have any issues with that. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was small but adequate although the "trigger design" of the... More
