It was a place not much changed in the past 20 years since the breakup of the Soviet Union style of hospitality, but after camping it was a welcome change. We had a quiet room, although a bit small. The bathroom and shower worked fine. The place was clean. There is an attendant on each floor to make sure you... More

Ok, I will start by admitting that I haven´t stayed at the Hotel Angara overnight. However, I have visited the hotel a couple of times and everything I have seen contradicts the strong criticism in previous reviews. My impression is more than a quick look since I plan to accomodate a tourist group at the hotel later, and therefore I... More

We stayed here for one night and will never stay here again or recommend it to anyone. The front desk reception need to go back to hospitality school and learn how to provide customer service in a hotel that charges this much. The bathrooms stinks for no reason that we could find. The room is nothing special and the breakfast... More

Hotel was booked by tour group. We were surprised by the adverse comments on Trip Advisor but we found it good enough. Room was a bit small but comfortable and quite adequate. Better than some of the hotels we stayed at on this tour. Breakfast had choice of Western and Eastern cuisine. Don't know the cost but we would consider... More

This place seems to think of itself as a four star hotel; it certainly charges accordingly for food and drink. And yet when I turned up for breakfast at 8.15 a.m. on Saturday 20mJuly 2013 the breakfast room was so inadequate in size that there was literally nowhere to sit down. I decided just to have coffee, and even this... More

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our Trans-Manchurian train trip. The hotel has a lovely foyer, with an internet room which was helpful, and bodyguards guarding the lifts. Very strange environment... The rooms though... well, where do I start? We stayed on the 3rd floor, which is marked as economy. There is always a lady on duty... More

Centrally located, easy walk to everything, but the room we had was only 5 out of 10. Very average bedroom and bathroom. But if you only needed somewhere to sleep that was very basic, then this is your place.

This hotel has a great location on the main square and within walking distance of the main shopping street. The rooms were small but clean and comfortable. It was nice to be able to open the door to the balcony and get fresh air. They do charge to hold your luggage after check out time.

Hotel was in a GREAT location ... staff is strange and unwelcoming, there are thugs that guard th elevator. Rooms are bare and not too comfortable. Breakfast was a little strange and not tasty. They asked originally if we wanted a room facing the square or the back of the building, warning that the room that faced the square could... More

This hotel really sucks. Staff is unfriendly and forgets all English when there are issues. If you want to pay with American Express be prepared to fight over it (they don't take it). Rooms are really smelly and small (cigarette smoke + air freshener = very bad), the TV is tiny, bath robes and other comforts that are advertised on... More
