The staff was outstanding and the accommodations are clean and comfortable. The only set back is its a bit tricky to find. I would definitely stay here again. It was an easy walk to the center and shops and restaurants are just outside the door.

Having landed from Magadan in Irkutsk I managed to hop onto one of the decrepit public buses, which took me across the town to the opposite side of Angara river. Having negotiated a small path from the main road I found myself inside the cubicle of housing estate when the darkness fell. In the block on far right the Nerpa... More

I didn't stay for the night but went there because where were outside without possibilities to go back to our homestay... But people there have been so helpful and nice, that's a good souvenir. The place look nice, not far from the train station (a bit difficult to find) and the bathroom marvelous. That deserves a good feedback !

the positive: very friendly staff, warm environment, cozy living room with kitchen (nice selection of tea), free pc and internet, very comfortable sofa, 2 very clean toilets, very nice (young people-oriented) drawings on the walls, easy to speak and get to know to other backpackers. the negative: the ladder to go to the room situated at the basement is made... Great hostel! I met the owner, Max, when he ran his old hostel. This hostel is only a few years old and I definitely recommend this to every person I know going to Irkutsk. Subway is only about two blocks away if your craving an American sandwich. The main square of the city is within walking distance and the bazaar,... More

We stayed here for 5 nights on our stopover from Transiberian trip. The hostel is well located at a walkable distance from the train station which is very convenient. We quickly felt extremely at ease and almost at home thanks to Sasha and Maxim who work here. They have been providing us with all useful information and a welcoming atmosphere.... More

We turned up after being let down elsewhere with no reservation and although didnt stay overnight were accommodated for baggage storage, showers, internet, kitchen and all facilities for a very reasonable (perhaps too cheap) price. Great staff, cosy warm feel. Super location close to train station. Would stay again.

It's a small flat with living room, kitchen, clean bathrooms and comfortable beds. All the staff is super helpful and really nice. There was a great atmosphere when I went and met lots of people who were just happy so socialise there in the evening, sharing drinks and food. It's 20 minutes away from the city centre but 10 minutes... More
