After 4 nights on the train it was great to have a shower & what a shower it is. It has 8 jet washes, and really blew away the grime of the trans Mongolian!!! The hotel is in a strange place, down a ally, but it is easily walkable to everywhere and the 2 main churches are just around the... More

It was all very ok for a 3-star in Russia - until on my last evening I bought the local specialty fish, and in the morning discovered a small paper sign on the desk saying I was supposed to keep it in a special fridge at the reception. Not only was the sign inconspicuous but a special treatment awaited me... More

The room itself was totally fine - though the AC was broken, which made for a steamy sleep (and not in the good way). The thing that made the visit for us, though, was the wonderful service. Daria, a woman at the front desk, went WAY out of her way to help us out with some lost luggage. Her English... More

We stayed here for two nights on a stop-over from the Trans-Siberian. It is well-located almost right on the Tourist Office's green walking trail (the hotel has the map) and next to two lovely churches. One of the receptionists has excellent English and was very efficient and polite. The room was functional with a good bathroom and comfortable bed. It... More

Not a big hotel and a bit tucked away but you will not get friendlier or more helpful service. English spoken. Stayed 2 nights and standards were consistently good. Generous buffet breakfast. Rooms comfortable and spacious enough for 2 adults to move around. Within a few minutes walk of the famous cathedral and a couple of other significant churches. Probably... More

All major attractions are in walking distance or can be reached with the nearby bus. Very helpful and friendly staff at reception. The room was relatively large, with free WiFi. Breakfast can easily be improved, e.g. by allowing fir a second coffee free of charge.

A nice hotel small, new and clean, close to the river, stayed 2 times before went for a couple of days on Baikal lake. rooms at the top floor 5th level, doesnt have curtains in the roof windows, so very early light, the reception ladies speak very good english, which is perfect to help you wth the map of irkutsk.

We only stayed one night here before catching the train to Moscow. The hotel enjoys a central location next to the cathedral and main square, but it was actually a bit hard to find because it hides in a small back street. The rooms are large with a nice clean bathroom. There's free wifi and the staff was nice to... More

Don't stay on the fifth floor if you are claustrophobic! First hotel I ever stayed in without a window but a skylight! The air conditioning was not adequate and when we opened the skylight there wasn't a screen on it so the bugs could come in and then it rained on us so it became a choice of either swelter... More

Our party of four stayed at this hotel while on a break from the Trans Siberian Express train service. Bed was comfortable and room was very clean. Breakfast was excellent. Staff made us feel comfortable and was very helpful. We were able to walk to a local grocery store to obtain supplies not available on the train.
