My stay in Samara was in May 2009 for four days and could really recommend the Renaissance Hotel. Large hotel lobby with an open bar concept, few shops, travel agency. I've visited this hotel in April 2009 - very positively surprised the hotel took part in the Earth Day 2009, all lights got switched off for one hour. Very good, cozy hotel with friendly staff, most of them English speaking - not that usual in Samara - excellent services with a smile; nice food, very good value for money considering... more

The hotel overall was good. The staff was generally polite and did their best to help. If you can get the breakfast as part of your rate then do so.....it was excellent. But be aware that they charge 826 rubles per person (includes tax I think) for the breakfast buffet. There is a cook that will make eggs to order... more

The overall impression is that the hotel is an old establishment renovated with great taste. The service is impeccable and all personnel speaks English. The rooms are large and really comfortable.
