I visited Kazan for the city's millennium celebration and stayed at Ryan Johnson hotel. It was a great experience. The hotel is modern, the rooms are cozy, affordable and clean. The hotel has a great Georgian restaurant that serves absolutely delicious food. There is a gym, sauna and a swimming pool in the hotel. Moreover, there are brand new tennis courts! I believe the only ones in the city. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and spoke English. There is an ATM in the hotel and credit cards are accepted, which was very convenient. Overall I would say this is probably the best affortable hotel in Kazan. I would strongly recommend to stay in RJ hotel.
