Kazan is a beautiful and elegant city, and one might expect that some of that could rub off on a hotel named Grand Kazan. It doesn't. The lobby has a low ceiling and feels cramped. Check-in at 11 PM took 20 minutes. The single clerk exhibited no sense of urgency. My room had oddly shaped angles and a high ceiling,... More

The hotel fits the purpose. Comfortable room, usable bathroom, very nice sunrise view towards the Kremlin, but not really made for business travelers. Getting network access requires buying a (pricy) access code at reception, meaning you have to go down. By the way it doesn't work for mobile or tablets. Need an extension cord to power laptop and the restaurant/breakfast,... More

The most reviews of this hotel have average mark, which says you to find another hotel for a price of ~ 100 EURO. Let me summarize my impression about this hotel. What I liked: - Location (it is located in the center of the city with 15 min proximity to the Kremlin) - Modern building (you can see it from... More

I stayed at the hotel on business for 3 nights. On the positive side the hotel is well located in the middle of Kazan (also a 5 - 10 min walk to the historic areas and sights (e.g., the Kremlin); the staff are friendly and most speak English; the rooms are large and quiet with good beds etc. On the... This enormous hotel can be hard to reach in peak hours due to the central location in Kazan. Hotel reception speaks English very well and is very informed. Rooms are huge ,clean and have great view. WiFi free in the lobby, NOT in the rooms. English TV-Channels: CNN, BBC, RT... Facilities: Gym, Sauna, Jacuzzi. You can go by metro to... More

I stayed at the Grand Hotel Kazan for a week during a recent scientific conference. The hotel rooms are enormous and clean. The breakfast buffet offered many items but there was little variation from day to day. The location on Petersburgskaya St is right next door to a mall, and 5 min from the underpass that connects to Bauman street,... More

Was on a business trip in Kazan. Large role plays location - city center. The girls at the reception work very quickly The hotel very good, there's no bombast, but interior design is chosen is simple and tasteful, the room was very cozy and spacious. Great view from the panoramic window. Good breakfast. If again I'll go on a business... More

A new 12-story modern property which enjoys a good location by the Volga River and attached to a shopping centre. Receptionists are helpful and speak flair English. Rooms are nice and tidy with a Flatron TV screen that shows international, Italian, Russian and Arabic channels. Food and beverage facilities are within the acceptable range. A pool and a fitness center... More

The rooms are very spacious, but the decor looks dated, especially considering the hotel is only a few years old. Reception staff speak English well. Ordering room service is a mission and usually takes a few calls to reception. The bar is not very cozy, but affordable. The breakfast buffet is pretty good, with a large selection of items. The...
