Lovely old farmhouse, beautifully decorated, accommodating innkeeper, unusual number of attractive common rooms in which to read or work. Liz did everything she could to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. The grounds are very attractive. The upkeep is meticulous inside and out. The breakfasts were nothing special but adequate with simple, local foods.

I stayed in a room with two antique single beds--I could have used a bit more room. The hostess (never did meet him) was helpful and friendly. The healthful breakfast consisted of granola, fresh fruit, toast with spreads, and mini scones. (My personal preference would be the hot breakfasts you get at some hotels). Coffee was delicious. The price was... More

My wife and I finally were able to get rid of the kids for one night and wanted to do something special. Unfortunately, they require a 2 night minimum stay. Even during the off season. Seems like bad business sense to not want to fill a room.

This review is long overdue, as my stay was in November of 2013. I was in the area for a SUNY Geneseo event, so it was a little bit of a drive from the campus, but well worth it. The place was beautiful, clean, and welcoming. The breakfast each morning included fresh baked and organic foods...delicious! I felt very at... More

This are the words on the mat as you enter the Inn. I really don't like traveling at all, and so we search out Inns that will be as much like 'being home' as possible. Usually there are disappointments even after doing research into the ' perfect place' . So as you drive into Avon, and search for the small... More

The farm is beautiful and quiet. Liz, Jim and Henry were great. I had a good time, wanted for nothing. Breakfast was always good and filling and they were able to accomidate special food requests.. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Thanks again for everything.

This was our first Bed and Breakfast experience, and it was absolutely amazing! Each of the rooms in the charming house were spotless, comfortable and decorated very nicely. Liz went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We LOVED the homemade breakfast with local and organic foods, we wish we could stay there... More

My husband and I had a marvelous time celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary at the Charlton Farm Inn! Liz and Jim were superb hosts and immediately made us feel at home. They went above and beyond, treating us as if we were old friends. Charlton Farm Inn is not only beautiful inside the house but, the surrounding gardens are lovely... More

I stayed at the Inn for 2 nights, 8/9 and 8/10/2013. I do not write reviews often but I would be remiss if I did not on this particular occasion. Jim and Liz were absolutely wonderful hosts. The effort and energy that they have put into the Inn is impressive. The Inn is spacious, well lit with natural sunlight in... More
