The only hotel available in town, I came in late and was looking forward to a good night sleep... The room however was very small, especially for the two radiators heating up the room to sauna like temperatures. The rooms are OK , as is the breakfast, OK mind, nothing stratospheric. The service is so old style soviet as to make you laugh, I agree with earlier review about the left luggage, had similar experiances. The hotel is the wrong side of the river from the rest of the city so is a cab or tram wide awy... more

I agree with the previous review about the level of service at this hotel. We arrived at 0430, having arrived at the hotel from an especially rough three day train trip from Irktusk. This hotel fell into the 'ok for Russia' bracket. It seems to be selling itself at least partly as a business hotel but standards fell well short. When we arrived at 8am or something similar our rooms were ready but they wanted to charge extra to check in at that time.....ok not unheard of, but I always think this is... more
