It was a business trip for one night staying in the Hotel. They pronounce themselves as 3 stars hotel. The hotel is pretty good. Do not plan your occupation before 4p.m. More likely the numbers will not be cleared up. The restaurant is opened at 4p.m. and closed at 10p.m. Please do not ask waiter to hurry up :) Hot... More

Stayed for one week on business at the hotel. The room was clean and the furniture looked new. Bed was pretty hard, but some people might like that.. The bathroom was okay - a little mold around the shower, but nothing that bothered me. Wifi was free and fast. On the food side, the room had a little refrigerator which... More

The hotel was below my expectations, and definitely not worth the money. The room we stayed in was very small, and not renovated for a while. As there was only 1 person staying in the hotel besides us, I believe the rest of the rooms are no better. The bathroom smelled with mold, and the shower was making loud noise.... More

Stayed here for a weekend with some friends on a "guys weekend." Hotel is good, not overly fancy and pretty basic decor and rooms, but at about one hundred USD a night not a bad deal especially given the quite central location. Service was good, the restaurant ok but mostly average Russian hotel fare and quality. You can walk 5... More

We chose this hotel for a single nights stay in passing through and would lov to have extended our stay. The hotel is ideally situated for the popular tourist areas and the staff were very helpful. We were very lucky and had a room with a partial view of the Volga, beautiful.

I stayed there for business only 1 night. Hotel facilities are not so modern, but staff was incredibly helpful & friendly. The lady at the reception spoke very good English & stayed with me half an hour to help with on line check in. Restaurant served us a full dinner 15' before closing time. I was pleasantly surprised by Nizhny... More

The hotel (also known as October Hotel) is clean, comforable, modern and welcoming. From just outside the hotel it's a glorious walk above the Volga to the Kremlin. The views of the city and the cathedrals are brilliant. Then to the cafe and shop-lined pedestrian Bolshaya Poktovskaya ul. In a square near the hotel is a lovely old church and... More

The position is very good just in front the volga and near a very trendy restaurant on the river shore. It is walking distance from the Kremlin. Considering general russian hotel standards it is not bad but rooms very small and no air conditioning in the standard ones (during this time it was very and unbearably hot). During our visit... I've stayed here several times on business and always enjoyed it. The staff are friendly and helpful, bedrooms are clean and comfortable, there's free wi-fi all round the hotel, and public rooms are pleasant. It's also got the best situation in the city - on the high bank overlooking the Volga river, where the whole city comes to walk on... More
