Located just off Nevsky Prospect in the historical centre so a short walk away from The Hermitage / Winter Palace, Alexandrainski Theatre ect. but in a peaceful little Square. We had to pay half price of £38 to keep our room for the following day (our train didn't leave until 10pm) which seemed expensive in a quiet hotel. Excellent friendly... More

When visiting St Petersburg the Vesta has an ideal location right on Nevsky Prospect but set back so no traffic noise. There are good restaurants and fast food places within 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The Hermitage is about 15 minutes walk and many other and marks much closer. The rooms and breakfast are very basic and towels are... More

Hotel was chosen for us by our tour operator. We checked out the reviews on TripAdvisor. It's in a great location off the artery road of St Petersburg - Nevsky Prospekt, in a quiet square. There aren't an abundance of mid range hotels in St Petersburg, so would strongly recommend this if you are seeking a £££ hotel. Rooms were... More

We stayed here as our final stop on the Trans Siberian. We got in at 4.50am but couldn't get into our rooms till 2pm. The rooms are very basic. Clean but basic. Unfortunately we received very little sleep for our 2 night stay bc of the Mosquitos that buzzed constantly around our heads throughout the night. The room is equipped... More

Have had 3 nights here, booked by our tour operator. The hotel is set back from Nevsky Prospekt, just 2 minutes walk and yet is remarkably quiet - no sound of motor cyclists doing wheelies whatsoever! The hotel has friendly efficient staff who all speak English and breakfast is served in a small dining room off the reception area. You... More

We stayed here at the beginning of a trans-siberian rail holiday and although i had some initial doubts they were quite unfounded. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the staff are quite helpful when approached with requests or questions but are quite gruff as seems the national way :-) the wifi is good and free. Breakfast was nice with adequate... More

We were booked in here by a company at the start of a trans Siberian trip. It was a good location-5 mins walk from the Moscow station, 1 min to Nevsky prospect, and about 10-15 up Nevsky Pr to the heart of the historic district. Rooms were clean and functional, and breakfast was good. Aircon was effective and beds comfy.... More

We spent three nights at this middle of the range hotel. Clean room, comfortable bed, basic but substantial breakfast, pleasant staff. Four floors and only stair access, so be warned. The hotel is just off busy Nevsky Prospekt but it was mostly quiet at night, apart from some drunken revelers enjoying the children's play equipment in the nearby courtyard late... More

The Vesta hotel provides very clean, basic and comfortable rooms. It is in an old building. We had a room on the 4th floor (deluxe double) and we thought there was a lift when we booked the hotel - not sure how we got that wrong. There was no one to help with the luggage so if you are older... More
