The endless corridors and small rooms of the Azimut hotel makes me think of the sovjet times... It's not romantic, but it works... Breakfirst is plentiful and good, staff are extremely helpful. Rooms are small and the hotel is located a bit away from anything interesting. The wifi didn't work in my room, but was fine in the lobby and... More

I stayed in this hotel in business reasons Mid of June fro two nights. The hotel is huge and crowdie. There was a recent renovation and the room was nice and practical. One evening I spend at the SkyBar and can highly recommend this place: friendly and professional team, good food and drinks and amazing views of the city. Breakfast... More

My family and I stayed there for 2 nights during our short trip to St. Petersburg. Pros: - Location is relatively ok. It's closed to rail-road station and subway station is about 15 minutes away - Affordable - SkyBar located on 18th floor has amazing view Cons: - During summer time it's super crowded so expect huge lines for check... Was in SP for work and chose this hotel as one of the recommendations from our hosts. The refurbished rooms were ok, but just as we were registering they informed us that the hot water would be cut two days later as the government had informed them that they would be cleaning the pipes. Now why would you clean up... More

This former Sovietsy hotel with over 1000 rooms had now 7 floors of the new Azimut 'smart rooms' that offer a mid scale style room at an affordable price. The hotel is under extensive renovation so until May 2014 access is somewhat restricted. Expect it to have excellent group and meeting facilities by this summer. Their new Sky Bar is... More

Awful. My friend & travelling companion who is Russian, tried to make light of how terrible it was by saying our trip wouldn’t have been complete without such an authentic communist era experience. Some background - we were in Moscow, but decided to do a last minute trip to St Petersburg for the “white nights” phenomena (pretty magical). Almost all... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to write on Trip Adviser about your stay last June during the very hot summer. I started (as General Manager) at the hotel in June and I certainly understood your comments and you were correct the rooms would have been very hot, air conditioning did not exist then. However, I am pleased... More

We arrived almost around midnight and was so ready to crash, luckily the check-in went by very quickly (and so did the check-out). Our room was teeny tiny, but stylish and very clean nonetheless! We had a twin room and the beds and pillows were very comfy and seems rather new (especially compared to our hotel in Moscow). The bathroom... More

I didn't expect much after having read several of the reviews on TripAdvisor, but Azimut Hotel surprised me in a positive way. Yes, I have been to more luxurious hotels in my life, but they were situated in other parts of the world, where conditions are different. For a russian hotel Azimut ain't all that bad. My room (on the... More
