My only harp about it is my room was quite far from the elevator, but aside from that, everything else was wonderful! Super convenient location! Within walking distance from major tourist spots and there are several bus and trolleybus stops right outside the hotel. Free wifi in the lobby too! The heated bathroom tiles were a great bonus! more

The location of The Petro Palace was excellent - a few blocks from the Hermitage and just off the Nevsky Prospect. The rate - $169US - was very good. Great location for this hotel close to historical sites, shops and restaurants. BUT... Does not deserve to be rated 4 star and should never be rated top 10 by tripadvisor visitors in my opinion. The bed's were rather uncomfortable. The bar upstairs was empty, & lounge bar filled with smoke. The room we had was very nice, and large. I would have preffered a more comfortable bed, but this was an issue at another 5* hotel in moscow, so it's possibly a european or just perhaps russian issue. great location, could stay here again. more
