A clean, basic hotel in a convenient location with a standard breakfast and slightly over heated rooms. The staff don't speak much English, but were helpful and friendly, the room was not large but it was clean. The breakfast is served until 10.30 which suited us perfectly for our trip. The bar was quiet with good views over the city.... More

Provided you ignore the distances quoted by the hotel people(double them and you're there or there abouts) and the comments of others about the breakfasts(top class, huge variety constantly replenished and ample seating), this is the hotel of consequence in St Petersburg.....and....there's a metro station just over the road(buy a token from the ticket office-labelled in English-put it in the... this hotel is located in a very nice position nearby the famous Nievsky prospect... rooms very nice and confortables and quite what we didn't appreciate was the breakfast food, a very little choise, no many jams, no great fruit choise, only two kind of cakes... that's pity!!!!

We went on an exchange students trip to St. Petersburg, and this hotel was already booked for us. It has a great location, next to metro station, and there is a shopping mal next door where you can also buy food and liquors. Receptionists speak english but the security guard, didn't... This hotel looks like a labyrinth...It took us 15min... More

Room was clean, view out our window was lovely. The shopping center which is connected was awesome, with grocery and liquor available. Bar Raskolnikov was very nice and the view from the window of the Church and the city views were great. Walking distance to everything and the breakfast was 5 Star including smoked salmon and an array of cheeses... More

Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the level of the hotel. Location is excellent, close to Nevski but also the metro station. The hotel corridors seem like never ending, they’re super long and straight (funny little detail). The rooms themselves are clean, comfortable and good. Shower has hot water and it works without any problems. Bed and linen are clean... More

We were recommended the Dostoevsky Hotel for a five day visit to St Petersburg. There were mixed reviews. What needs to be born in mind is that this is a Russian Hotel and the room rates very cheap. There's an old saying in there somewhere. What we found was a polite staff. Clean rooms. Our Superior was adequate in size... More

This hotel is well located but with lots of long corridors it is a firetrap. When we arrived the desk clerk asked us to sign a form stating we had understood the fire regulations -- but he hadn't explained them! We asked him to. I noticed that NONE of the fire doors in the corridors or to the stairs were... More

This hotel was centrally located - near to a subway station and walking distance to several historical sites and shopping. The rooms were very clean and modern. The breakfast was crowded in the mornings when the large tour groups swarmed the buffet. The dining offerings were so-so, but there's lots to choose from so you should be able to find... More
