We stayed here for 3 nights while stopping over in St P on the way to Moscow. really pleased with the location, and although all Russian Hotels seem pricey, this didn't break the bank. Our room was 'superior' and I would have been disappointed with anything less, but it was warm, comfortable, pleasant, with a decent breakfast and a fine... more

I have to agree with other reviews that the location (close to Nevsky Pr.) was the best part of the hotel. However, we found the rooms quite bad. Food was terrible and the staff was not very attentive even when my husband muttered some Russian words. Hotels in Russia are very expensive for what they offer. Do not eat at... more

Our first visit to Russia, so went with a tour group. The Hotel was quite satisfactory with everything having been recently refurbished. The Supermarket right below is a real plus. Beds very comfortable and a/c worked well. Staff speak a little English, but always try and be helpful. Would recommend for the seasoned traveller- excellent location. Would stay again. more

I loved this hotel. It seems to be new, the rooms are clean and big enough for a couple. And its location is perfect, near the most important avenue in St. Petersburg. more

In Saint-Petersburg I was 2 times, and the last one was incredible!!!!!! Before I was in hotel Ibis. Stay at hotel Dostoevsky to me advice my best friend, she was there in may. She told that this hotel is really very good, and I desided to book it. When I came to the hotel I understood that location is more than just successful!!!!... more

We would like to say: "Thank you" for such wonderful hotel. We stayed for 3 nights in a standard room with the view to a cozy court yard. Breakfast and service was excellent. Hotel stuff was very helpful and welcome. Hotel is located in a city center very close to Nevsky prospect and all places of interest. We spent unforgetable... more

Paid for a 'superior' room but we certainly had a standard room at the back. (at 9000 roubles a night!!!) Staff wouldn't change this despite showing them booking details. Most depressing hotel ever stayed and have been to over 54 countries. Corridors reminiscent of schooldays, restaurant too small for size of hotel - exhausted by the time you have found... more

Nice hotel just far enough away to miss all the crowds but withijnh walking distance of all sites. Food was good from the basr and breakfast was enjoyable. We were upgraded to a suite on the six floor at the front which was excelelnt for us with view over the city from the front. Standard rooms are at the back. more

Agree with most of the previous comments - clean, staff speak enough english, breakfast is just borderline average, beds are good, shower was great, however, the rooms are overheated BUT the windows open right up and it is not noisy when left open all night. Business centre is totally disfunctional, screens will electrocute you and they charge a fortune! Find... more
