Stayed here in 2007 and just returned to find this hotel MUCH improved. The breakfasts are amongst the best I have experienced in many hotels of this type. The rooms are modern and spacious with very nice bathrooms. Courteous staff by Russian standards. Clean rooms, near the coast, not very "central" location but ok if you have transport. A tourist class, business sort of hotel. Hotel has several good points, but its location is not one of them. It is on an island. To make a 6 a.m. flight tothe U.S., you must take a taxi leaving at 2 a.m. because the bridges to the mainland close soon after --times may be a bit off, but this is an awful situation. Stayed here recently for a conference. I've stayed at international class hotels all over the world and I can tell you that this is the worst. Spend a bit more and stay in the centre. I stayed there August 2007. Booked by travel agency. Far from a four star establishment according to western standards but acceptable. Do not expect anything luxurius though...Nice dinning hall.
