The bedrooms are en-suite and comfortable. Negatives: heating hard to control; TV channels mostly Russian; brown water came out of taps. The WIFI signal was weak, but ok. My room came with a small fridge and there is a supermarket underneath the hotel. Breakfast was basic, but did the job. Location is ok. Well outside centre, but Metro station is... More

My bunch of friends and I stayed few days at moscow hotel. Since we were students back that time we didn't care about any luxury. Breakfast was very good and the rooms were cleaned. Couldn't ask more for a cheap price

Huge tourist hotel of the Soviet time, once it was for a long in a bad shape. Now it is better, but still mediocre. Rooms looking the square have a nice view, but noisy. Breakfast is so-so. Rooms are small, er, almost clear. Service is not impressing. But nothing really bad. Transport access is OK

We went there with an organized trip. The room are very old, but still they are clean. The location could be better even if the subway stop is just beside the hotel. The breakfast buffet is decent but nothing else. The thing that made me angry is the fact that the staff doesn't speak a very good english. I tried... More

Hotel Moskva in Sankt-Peterburg is big as many of Soviet era hotels are, more than 800 rooms. They say hotel is ****, and it can be true except restaurants. Beef restaurant Vosem in 8th floor has great view to nearby graveyard and church, but service is far away. You must shout staff to recognize you, although there were only 4... More

Spent three nights here in January so very cold outside, but likewise in our room, called maintenance once who managed to increase the heat from the radiator but by our last night we wore our thermals in bed! Rooms are adequate if a little on the small side, likewise the bathroom and a little dated too! My constant frustration about... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. This hotel was okay, not great. It definitely needs some updating. The bathroom was small and outdated. The beds were comfortable enough, but not great. It was pretty warm in the room also. We kept having to open up the window to cool it off. This hotel is set up in... More

Stayed here for three nights, I was shocked at how warm the room was when I entered, I was told there was nothing that could be done to turn the radiator down but of course I could open the window. They are incredibly wasteful of heat energy at this place. Disgusting. At the time I visited, it was Russian school... More
