had to stay overnight, the hotel is just in front of the railway station but looks obsolete and scary from the inside. 9K rubles for a very basic room where they don't even have any drinking water or toiletries other than soap. The lobby is overwhelmingly huge and empty, all in that monumental soviet style which i personally found depressing.... More

This hotel is well located near a major subway station. Its breakfast is large but with many items western Europeans will not want to eat for breakfast. Coffee is horrible so bring your own. Wifi works well. My room was paid by the organisation that invited me but I chose to stay an extra day at my own cost and... More

This is a decent, but not great or not very good hotel. Pluses include the location, decent WiFi, an abundant breakfast buffet, and cleanliness. Other benefits include an onsite foreign money changer, a gift shop on the 2nd floor, and lots of sitting areas. Facilitates including rooms, though, badly need an upgrade and rooms lack a lot of basics. Hotel... More

I stayed here during Soviet times and went back this year. I remember the location as being pretty good but now its so much better. Walk down Ligovsky and cross Vosstaniya square at you are at the Moscow train station. Just down and across the street from the hotel is a Stockmann store (groceries) and a Metro station. At this... This hotel is a large hotel in central St Petersburg. The reception staff have fluent English and are helpful. The decor is nice and the rooms are basic. It has Wifi but it is slightly patchy. Around 40 min walk from tourist attractions such as the Heritage Museum, St Peters Fortress. There is a buffet restaurant but the food is... More

We booked a room for 4 nights, 4 to 8 of June. We arrived from the airport to the hotel, and they told us to go to an apartment building across the street because they were doing renovation works at he hotel and they didn't have a room for us. The lobby was crowded, so I guess that others had... More

Quite convenient location and good correlation price-quality. Full of groups of pensioners coming to see St Petersburg. Very reasonable food in the restaurant. But somehow you still feel a spirit of a Soviet times, not too unpleasant but distinctive.

I've stayed here twice, both stays were equally as solid with a good breakfast. Most staff are fairly friendly and helpful. Check in was swift as was checkout. I don't like the fact that they said there was a gym in the hotel in February 2012 and yet two years later the gym is still being refurbished! I don't need... More

Nice hotel, good location. Basic rooms. Some elevators were off-duty during all my 3-day visit. The food was okay, no complains. Oh, yeah, I had to walk to my room for at least 250 meters. C'mon, only one entrance and long-long-long (very long) corridors. More than 300 paces from the hall to my room.
