this hotel is very convenient for those seeking proximity of everything , shopping, restaurants, commercial avenues, malls,... You wont need transportation to walk through the entire nevsky perspective (the famous avenue of St Petersbourg) , visit several malls nearby (5 mn walking) , many restaurants nearby . Although the hotel caters to large groups ( sometimes you feel like you... More

A wonderful looking lobby, great location (near the rail Station & the Metro) & serviced well by trolley buses. A good walk to activities in the triangle, so Metro is the best option or trolley bus 5 or 22. We were part of a tour & I booked an extra night. On checking in, we were told we could stay... More

The hotel says air conditioning but I will confirm that not all rooms have this luxury. In fact though the booking said it had air con our version was initially a pedestal fan. Luckily it wasn't so hot but the insult to injury had to be when we changed rooms (as we started a tour) and low and behold we... More

Helpfull receptionists, room cleaners, bartenders. Large room, clean, all you need. No to be compared to EU hotels, definately Russian ;-). Very nice breakfast, whatever you want. Also had dinner there at the restaurant, helpfull people, not expensive for very nice (russian) food. Very close to metro and train station.

We have spent four nighs in this hotel. The most advantegous feature is the excellent location of the hotel. It is next to a metro station, and the Moscow Railway station, and right by side of Nevskij Avenue. The roons looking to the inner yard are far better than the ones facing the street. The room was clean, and basic,... More

had to stay overnight, the hotel is just in front of the railway station but looks obsolete and scary from the inside. 9K rubles for a very basic room where they don't even have any drinking water or toiletries other than soap. The lobby is overwhelmingly huge and empty, all in that monumental soviet style which i personally found depressing.... More

This hotel is well located near a major subway station. Its breakfast is large but with many items western Europeans will not want to eat for breakfast. Coffee is horrible so bring your own. Wifi works well. My room was paid by the organisation that invited me but I chose to stay an extra day at my own cost and... More

This is a decent, but not great or not very good hotel. Pluses include the location, decent WiFi, an abundant breakfast buffet, and cleanliness. Other benefits include an onsite foreign money changer, a gift shop on the 2nd floor, and lots of sitting areas. Facilitates including rooms, though, badly need an upgrade and rooms lack a lot of basics. Hotel... More

I stayed here during Soviet times and went back this year. I remember the location as being pretty good but now its so much better. Walk down Ligovsky and cross Vosstaniya square at you are at the Moscow train station. Just down and across the street from the hotel is a Stockmann store (groceries) and a Metro station. At this...
