It is run by Rocco Forte and is opposite St Issac's Cathedral and in walking distance of Nevsky Prospect (the city's main street) and the Hermitage. It has a small pool and gym, an Italian restaurant and is friendly and non-pretentious. It is 4*, while the Astoria, its sister hotel which is next door is 4.5*. I was attending a... More

It has been my second stay at Angleterre St Peterburg and I wasn't disappointed. Staff was very attentive and accomodating even before my arrival. I had a change in time of meetings and the hotel kindly arranged a pick up from the train station and took me straight to the meeting while tookmy luggage to the hotel. Staff at reception... More

My first visit to st Petersburg which is so different to Moscow and more like Helsinki and places like that. This is a lovely hotel in the centre of St Petersburg and seems to be only a short walk from anywhere. Rooms are excellent, service is good but make sure your breakfast is included, if not it will cost you... More

I stayed at this hotel for five nights while attending a conference in St. Petersburg and have nothing but positive feedback. It was very clean - no worries about dust, mold or mildew for people with allergies. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, including the beds. The staff spoke English and were extremely courteous and helpful with all aspects of... More

In the heart of St-Peterdsburg it is the best place to stay, room Deluxe means perfect view on Sy-Isaak's square, As one of my frien said - "I must to live in suite there" - he, he , so fasionable this place is and the faamous old history you can feel on every corner of Angleterre hotel. 100% recommend.

Never think anything before facing to. When I get out from the bus I thought that the hotel was old and will never satisfy my needs. But as I entered from the door, everything has changed. Staff was so polite and surprisingly they were talking English. Checked in to room 278. It was amazing. A huge bed, TV was open... More

It's a nice hotel. If you are tourists and looking for some walks around, it has great position. Room are big enough, clean. Bed is really comfortable. Only bathroom is little bit tiny. Breakfast served are good, with choice of Russian and European meals. Anyway, it's not a special one, so price is a bit higher than one would expect.

I have stayed in this hotel twice. The hotel is located on St Isaacs Square, directly opposite St Isaacs Cathedral, less than 10 minutes walk from Palace Square and the Hermitage, and about 15 minutes walk to the Russian Museum and Church on the Spilled Blood. A metro station is close by at Admiralty. The area is safe though one... More

Simple comfortable room and efficient helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was excellent with an extensive choice of hot and cold western and Russian dishes. Only slight quibble was the vegetarian option in our group evening meal which was a very dull pasta dish two nights in a row, however otherwise a very enjoyable stay.
