Location is the best thing about this place. Entrance is little scary because it is not on ground floor and stairs are very ruinated. Rooms are small and old fashioned. In the bathroom you have to put toilet paper in the waste basket(we didn't and it was ok). Breakfast very basic. After all location.

Nice hotel, but it's more like private apartment which is located on two floors. A bit noise on mooring when everyone going to breakfast. There is poor sound isolation between floors. Tea facility, PC for guest, free WiFi. Hard to find, because no hotel sign at entrance.

Very well located Hotel (crossing with Nevsky Prospect). Small hotel, very quiet and very cheap compared to many others in Saint Petersburg. The rooms are renovated and well decorated. The only inconvenience is to find it. Small entrance, not very attractive with dirty stairwell. You have to climb the stairs and then enter the reception on 3rd floor. then all... More

This hotel is placed in the centre of St Petersburgh, next to most of the historical buildings, attractions and also the metro station. It is a hidden treasure as it is placed in the third floor of a block of apartments which entrance it is fair to say, does not make the hotel any justice. The rooms are comfortable, there... More

This is the place to stay if you want a standard European Style hotel room. Good beds, rooms are quite spacious and the location on Nevsky is excellent. Close to the major transport hubs and tourist attraction.

Upon arrival, the stairwell is disgusting, dirty, carpet thredbare, even the balustrade up the stairs is missing in parts. Enter on the 3rd floor into Hotel Polikoff, and the reception is fine and staff helpful. The room was again dirty, the carpet extremely dirty, and the sort of place that makes you itch. We stayed one night, as it was... More

Lovely little hotel, right off the centre of Nevsky Prospekt. We were worried upon arrival as the front door and staircase seemed a bit 'shady', but once inside the actual hotel it was perfect. Very cosy, great breakfast area, really nice room with genuinely one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. Additionally, it was spotless and... More

it`s a nice small hotel, as they call it in Russia "private hotel" ------ disadvantages: * the closest subway station is about 15-20 min walking, although it`s in the very central location, right on the Nevsky Prospect (the main street of the city). * no elevator (as I remember it`s about 3rd floor) ------- anyway, staying in such small hotels... When I travel abroad I am trying to stay away from the fancy 5 star hotels. When travelling abroad what I am looking for is location, quality and price withing the modest budget. Hotel Polikoff fits the above mentioned criteria perfectly. Great location in the historical center of St. Pete and rooms that are not facing the noisy street. Free... More

Stayed 3 nights. The location is very good on Nevsky Prospekt only 5 mins walk from Gostiny dvor metro station. It is however difficult to find with entrance from Karavannaya str. 11. Apartments 24-26 between two shops about 40 meters from the street corner. Only about 15 rooms this place is friendly and efficient. Room was reasonable but lacked air... More
