I took standard room with 1 bed. Room is small with shower. There are 2 views from window. One for abandoned construction. Seems from soviet time. Another view is on a noicy and dusty road. (Spring dust was everywere in Novgorod). Bed is 140*190. Quit taft materass and pillowes. Small fridge. Water cooler is on 2nd floor, paid coffe mashine... More

Basically, a convenient place for 1- or 2- or 3- day excursion in Veliky Novgorod, ancient capital of Russia. Novgorod is situated between Saint-Petersburg and Moscow, closer to Piter. This charming town is not so large and you will not be tired to observe its sightseeing for a day or two. Moreover, there will be left some other places to... More

Stayed here for one night as part of an organised tour of Russia in July 2014. As TLP-KUMAR states below, this is really just an overnight point between St. Petersburg and Moscow. We were given a twin room on the 1st floor. It was a relatively small room, with two twin beds, a small TV, a fridge (thanks goodness as... More

Veliky Novgorod is a charming old town midway en route the Moscow-St.Petersburg rail line, which is a major reason tourists visiting those metro cities also stop off to see a bit of rural old Russia. Hence there is not a lot of choice in Hotels to stay in this town, & group tours usually are put up in this Soviet-era... More

I stayed at this hotel for one night with a tour group. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel included in out tour. It was ok. Free WIFI but doesnt work in all the rooms but good in lobby and second floor. The rooms were clean and basic. Walking 10 minutes from Kremlin. All in all and ok hotel.

Good value clean rooms. Very quiet. 10-15 min walk to centre. Reception staff much friendlier than in some other Russian hotels and very helpful, perhaps because I attempted some basic Russian. Kindly allowed us to check in at 6.30 in the morning after arriving on overnight train from Moscow and did not charge any extra. Room decor a little dated,... More

The hotel has a great location, walking distance to the Kremlin, 15 minutes. Our room had a view of the construction site, but the night was quiet. Furniture is not new, the impression of the room - the average. Breakfast did not take. We arrived at 11 pm on Friday and never been able to eat or just drink tea... More

This was my second time at this hotel (the first was about 13 years ago — the receptionist indicated that she worked there at that time, too). Not much has changed, but in a way that is a good thing as the hotel is a decent-enough hotel that provides for travelers' minimal needs at a slightly inflated price. The front... More

Comfortable enough amenities with efficient service and good food, the hotel is somewhat a little less prepossessing in its post-soviet appearance and decor. The attractions are easily accessible, which makes the location attractive for the traveller on foot. At the reception the staff is visibly feeling unwell handling foreigners even we easily communicate in Russian. Our room was towards the... More

We stayed here for 1 night in early June. As we joined tour for sightseeing in Russia, so not know the exact room rate. Lobby is large and gives a relaxing feeling to me. Room is old furnishing and not spacious but acceptable. There is no airconditioning and therefore we should open the window to let air flow. Only a... More
