The Danilovskaya is a good business hotel for Moscow - not too expensive, set in a nice park, with a decent breakfast and an on-site bar. Some rooms are better than other ones, but after several stays I have not been able to find a pattern. The "short" walk to the metro mentioned by some other reviewers is of course... More

Set in nice grounds but the hotel itself is outdated & in need of modernisation - in particular, the bedrooms require some new furnishings & decoration. My room stank of stale cigarette smoke which was most unpleasant, causing me to have to sleep under the covers. Despite complaining they didn't offer to change my room, altho' the bedrooms were otherwise... More

One thing that strikes most guests is how peaceful & dignified the hotel is. The rooms are adequately furnished and clean, the service impeccable and well maintained garden is magnificient. Just a short 10-15 min walk takes you to the Tulskaya metro and other amenities. Breakfast or meals are served in an adjoining block (level 2). The highlight is the... More

A no-nonsense hotel, very clean, quiet and in picturesque 'old Moscow' setting. Staff are friendly but functional. There are not that many Hotel's left with CHARACTER, this one has it!

I staid there many times while in moscow. It is charming in all seasons for those who like quiet & peaceful environment. Rooms are old looking ( soviet type) but very clean. Food at restaurant is OK . Close to metro station (tulkaya) & shopping mall ( erevan center) for more western type of food.

The Danilovsky (Danilowsky) Hotel offers a very nice quiet setting with a large park. The staff was extremely friendly. The food at the restaurant was very good. Prices are excellent for Moscow. The room I stayed at was simple but comfortable. The hotel is owned by the Russian Orthodox Patriarchate and thus you will see religious guests. But if you... More

The pictures look good, but don't be fooled by the fact that it is a beautiful building from the outside - it's a monastery, frugal. I am writing this review exactly a year after my visit. This late review is spurred on by the fact that UK travellers will be looking for hotels for the up and coming UEFA Cup... More

The Danilovsky hotel is situated out of the city centre, by Moscow standards it is fairly cheap. Although it is close to Tulskya metro station in a reasonable area, you must walk down one of two dark badly lit streets at night. I was a little on edge every time. Staff were extremely unhelpful and often rude. They refused to... More
