Two female friends and myself stayed at this excellent hotel recently during a short trip to Moscow. We were not disappointed! The prices are high, but the quality of the accommodation...and the views...and the service, justify such expense. From our room, a deluxe twin on the seventh floor, we had direct views over the Moskva River of Red Square and... More

There's no doubt this is a luxury prestigious hotel and the location and views towards the Kremlin are fantastic. The standard of food is also high but with prices to match. Good: excellent car service, very helpful and knowledgeable concierge, friendly and efficient bar staff, excellent room service, good food. Cons: One thin single duvet (they knew I was a... More

Lovely hotel and top service, but apart from a great view of the Red Square and the Kremlin, it's not in a good surroundings for visitors. No real signs of a big city life out side except dirty cars parked under a bridge or lifeless dead end streets. No decent shops nor any cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. Very boring.... More

The good: - staff and service is excellent - rooms are very spacious and quiet enough - very close to the red square - Kremlin views! - good internet connection - loads of channels on tv - very impressive breakfast (take your time for that) The Bad: - items from the minibar are overpriced (9 EUR for a tiny coke)... Though I had trouble checking in as well as extending my stay since front disk is not able to find my confirmed prepaid booking in both occasions but it goes without saying that the front disk staff and the concierge are super professionals and nice and I have to raise my hat for them. The hotel in general is very... More

let us be positive : the hotel is clean, the staff is very courteous and present, rooms are ...well.. roomy On the other hand, while I disagree with the comments on the location(being near the Red square is a plus),five stars status is not really deserved;especially for 275 euros a night.Nothing really disturbed me,but the devil is in détails (for example, absence of a... We stayed here in August 2005 for 5 nights and had a truly wonderful trip. The rooms was stunning, breakfast amazing, down to a harpist or pianist playing each morning. Each evening we would sit and drink in the main bar area downstairs, the waiter knew I liked the Russian champagne so always ensured it was chilled. The hotel provided... More

I have been staying regularly at the Baltschug Kempinski for roughly 20 years. It is one of my favorite hotels. Service is excellent, breakfast superb, health club small but nice, pool very small but you are often the only one swimming. And the views of the Kremlin!

Great location, very close to the Red Square. Very nice view from the room. Rooms are well cleaned ( Thanks to house keeping). Decorations in the room are simple, don't expect something special. Excellent mattress! Beautiful lobby but smells badly with cigarettes, because it is allowed to smoke. Really enjoyed breakfast, rich and full, pancakes with caviar and champaign was... More

We stayed at the Baltchug for four nights. The location is right on the Moskova river. You do have to walk across the river, but then you immediately pass St. Basil's Cathedral and you are on Red Square. The hotel is excellent, and our room was large. The breakfast buffet is extravagant, with caviar and champagne, and they have English-language... More
