I have stayed at Maxima Zarya for 3 nights in March. The hotel is very basic. The rooms have everything you need but no luxury. We had a double bed, desk, one chair and bathroom with shower. The room is cleaned daily and also towels are changed on a daily basis. The carpet on the floors had some stains on... More

This is a hotel located someway out from the centre of Moscow; however, it is easily accessible via metro and the property is about a five minute walk from the metro station. Rooms were comfortable and included a mini bar. Staff were able to speak some English and appeared approachable and keen to assist. There is a mini market about... More

Stayed for 4 nights in February 2014. The hotel is to the North of the centre but easily accessible by Metro which is about a 5/10 minute walk. The hotel is far cheaper than many of the central Moscow hotels and is good value. The reception staff spoke English and were very pleasant and helpful. Some of the other staff... More

Was at the hotel for 3 nights, the stay was pleasant . Hotel staff seemed warm and hospitable. Clean rooms and offers most of the amenities of a modern day hotel. The location from the airport is quite distant , streets were not so comfortable to walk in and it might be a concern for female travelers. It was close... More

I stayed here in June 2013 and found it very good value. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfasts were very good and the staff always courteous and polite. I never felt uneasy walking to and from the Metro, but that's probably because I wasn't intimidated by the soviet era blocks of flats you have to walk past to... More

The Maxima Zarya cannot be responsible for its lousy location, so I'll start with the pros about the hotel first: 1. Fluent, helpful and friendly concierges. They helped us book tours, charged our cell phones and endured questions about how to get to the various sites every morning. 2. Very clean, modern rooms with flatscreen TVs, mini bar, and cable.... The location is at 7-8 minutes walk to the nearest metro station and it was a little Noisy because of some repairs occuring on the street or due to some trucks delivering goods. In global the room is ok but not big choice in the breakfast though. I prefer the Maxima Panorama hotel from the same brand but it is... More

I really do not understand some of the negative comments posted on Tripadvisor about this hotel. Several people bemoan the fact that the hotel is not central, too far from the Metro or from the Kremlin, staff issues, etc, etc. It is the travelers responsibility to do their homework before going any where. With proper planning, there is little room... More

I've just returned from a 4 night business trip to Moscow and I stayed at this hotel as I was put off by the reviews of other hotels near the All Russian Exhibition Centre having issues with prostitution. I'm pleased to say that no such problems were experienced during my stay. Not a great deal to say about the hotel... More
