Value for money! Very close to the metro and 15 minutes from the centre. The breakfast is good, from 07 to 10 permanent and varied food. Room is cleaned daily. R eception was not crowded as expected. Must show the key card to the guard every time you use the elevator. The lobby is big with shops and restaurants.

I stayed at the Hotel Cosmos during October of 2013. My understanding is that the hotel was built for the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow. I don't think it has changed much since that time. Probably the most intimidating feature of the hotel is the presence of out-of-work KGB agents demanding to see your ID every time you wish to... More

1980's hotel with typical russian food, rooms good enough- but the overriding feature is the location- within easy walking distance of the space museum, people's park and workers monument- if using a wheelchair you need a strong support team kerbs and tramlines can be a problem.

A very large building with many rooms and a very large space in the ground. It was part of the olympic village. Near to the subway is comfortable and easy for your visit in Moscow. The price is a bit high but Moscow is a very expensive city (even taxi is a luxe). Around hotel you can find the titanium... More

We thought we would go for this hotel to get the soviet/socialist experience...but it was hell. No air conditioning in the heat, they said its offered, but its not. Customer service is non-existant. Cleanliness. is bad, to very bad, all restUrants in the hotel are extremely expensive for no quality what--so-ever, they make it tough through and through! Avoid this hotel... More

Stayed here when on a tour of Russia. Huge place built for the 1980 Olympics with almost 2000 rooms. The lobby is enormous with shops and restaurants. Dining room like a noisy school canteen. Good breakfast choices but usual lukewarm dinner menu. We ate in a Chinese restaurant in the hotel and we're served hot food with flavour which was... More

Larger than life Sovjet era hotel (3000 rooms?!) outside the city centre, yet very close to the city metro. Staying at hotel Cosmos is an experience in itself because of the sheer magnitude of the bulding, its guests and staff. I enjoyed the surroundings of the hotel (the area felt safe) and can really recommend the cosmonaut museum right across... More

Cheap(ish). Located outside of the centre, but a good excuse to use the metro and an interesting park to visit opposite the hotel. Not a hotel for romance, but there did seem to be a few ladies of the night meeting clients in the hotel bars. Breakfast buffet was OK but I do not recommend the same buffet restaurant for... More

Value for money! Everything you need is in the hotel! Very close to the metro and 15 minutes from the centre. Very close to museums and other attractions. The building is very impressive, with many restaurants and other serives.

Welcome to a bygone era of the Soviet Union! This place is huge! While everything in Moscow has polished and become trendy and expensive, this place stays in the USSR. The only thing missing here was the KGB operative looking over at us with a newspaper! The most humiliating thing was to show my wife and my key card to... More
