This is the second time I visited this nice place after Oct2013. Really, the hotel maintains its good standards. Good service and cleanliness are the distinct marks. The hotel has great food and entertainment facilities for all visitors. Would definitely stay next time

A grand entrance and a huge lobby area with a 24/7 lobby bar. My room on the 13th floor had a magnificent view over Moscow and Moscow river. The entire hotel has a somber, 70's feeling with dark wooden panels - providing a certain Soviet vibe to it. The room was comfortable and big enough, but the heating made the... More

Ultimately have to give this hotel just two stars, though some aspects are better than others. The women in reception were reserved but professional, and helpful when asked. Breakfast--very nice on some days (seems like when there were several businessmen staying, the available food such as chopped fruit, yogurt, etc. was fresher, there was cream for the coffee, things like... First, I landed there, as all previously checked and proven hotels in Moscow were fully booked. As I booked in the evening on the exact date of arrival, I had practically no choice. After leaving our stuff in the rooms, we went downstairs to have some dinner (10PM). Restaurant was closed. In the Bar, we received a Menu, with the... More

Typical soviet comfort style. Reception can help you with no issues - useless people, don't even know how much it costs to iron a shirt. Internet is free of charge, but the speed does not allow even to text chat via your cell-phone. Nevertheless breakfast was OK

The hotel belongs to the State and it's access is controlled by them. If you are not in the list, or you do not have a room key with you, you are not allowed to enter. They wanted to charge 450 usd for a double room, which is incredibly abusive. It is a conference hotel. So, if you are staying... More

Stayed here for a few days. Although the exterior of the building might not seem much of a landmark, it actually really is worth staying. The room was luxurious and spacious. The whole building breathes an old Russian soviet style. I had many rooms, including a very old fashioned, yet complete and clean, eastern Europe style bathroom. The entrance hall... More

Good location, 20-30 minutes walking from Red Square, 10 minutes walking from Metro station Polianka. Nice view to the river. Very high security. The room is quite small, clean and remind you of a USSR time with CRT TV and stuff. No shaving kit, no toothpaste. Internet connection is horrible, sometimes I can't even post status or photos on my... More

I've been in this hotel several times. Every time all is ok. All services work excellent and hotel does not have usual for moscow problems: hot water is hot, internet is fast, no noise in room, breakfast is very nice, several times there was red caviar. And it's 20 minutes walking from red square.

I understand this is a (government) hotel where visiting delegations are entertained, hence the high security that others have referred to. I was on this occasion here for just one night; although booked into a standard room, I was given a huge suite with ante room, sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. Thank you! Yes, the fittings are kind of idiosyncratic... More
