Stayed in the National for 4 days over the May Day\Victory Parade Weekend, me, my son, my dad & my uncle. All of us were most impressed by not only the interior\exterior of the hotel but most definitely by its location. Right opposite the Kremlin but not to close with Aleksandrovsky Sad garden in between, helps you to appreciate the... More

I stayed here for 5 nights in January. Everything was as it should be for a 5 star hotel. Great staff, great room, great location, great breakfast, the metro is outside the front door which is oenes for you as you approach. Perfect hotel but then it should be at £200 per night.

The National overlooks the Kremlin and Red Square -- just a few yards away. The height of luxury, this 5-star hotel is almost beyond belief in its opulence, including Jacuzzi and swimming pool. Top class dining. Excellent tight-security. Staff extraordinary. Very many famous world leaders and celebrities have been staying here for over a century

I have stayed a few times now at the National for business and have to say it is quite a pleasant hotel to stay at - Nice rooms well equipped, good buffet breakfast, average wifi connection depending on the room, a small gym and a nice swimming pool. I would recommend for business travel. For tourism, it would depend on... More

There is no doubting this hotel is exceptionally beautiful from the outset. Check wasn't the best, with a clear lack of communication. The hotel is certainly expensive, and I did find it mind boggling that breakfast should an additional costs. Having said that service in restaurants were to a very high standards. Rooms, although function-able were not to the cleanest... More

Staying here was a truly wonderful experience in every way. It began with a speedy check in procedure and just continued uphill. Our room was on floor 6 and not huge but adequate. The bed was comfortable, room temperature fine (and adjustable) and although it was at the back of the hotel, we could see a Stalinist empire style building... More

I am always quite generous making reviews but too many things were disappointing in this case. The hotel is well located and this is its main point (and the reason why I gave two instead of one). All the rest is not a 5-star level in my opinion. Maybe it was in the past but now it should be improved.... More

I stayed at the National back in December. The reception was so warm and welcoming that I felt immediately at home. The rooms are large and clean and the hotel feels very quiet and relaxing. The location, a stones throw from the Kremlin is of course fantastic. The only downside were the bar staff who had difficulty making me an... More

When I arrived at the beautiful lobby of the hotel national to check in I realized that I didn't have my wallet. We got checked in but I was very stressed about losing something so important at the very beginning of my trip. The concierge Marina was so helpful, she sat me down and helped me walk through where I... More
