This is a beautiful hotel with funky interiors and lots of comfort. But really expensive - the food was extremely expensive. A sandwich as $20AUD and a glass of wine was about the same. We thought breakfast was included but it wasn't and we ended up spending $50AUD each - our own fault, we should have checked. It's also a... more

I chose this hotel because I was attending the Eurovision at the adjacent arena. Although quite a way from the city centre, the metro is nearby and the hotel has a shuttle bus service. Room was a bit smaller than expected but nicely designed and furnished. Smart lobby with several bars and a bakery as well as two restaurants in... more

I went to this hotel, because the hotel that I prefer (Holiday Inn Suschevsky) was fully booked. When checking in, I asked whether they could provide a quiet room. They told me that this was indeed a quiet room. However, the room faced a construction site, where construction goes on until midnight, and starts again at 6 am. I tried... more

A arther new hotel, and the price for a night on club level was OK for Moscow. Rather nice swimming pool at the hotel. The service is what cen be expected in Moscow - indifferent attitude, but provided all the necessary answers, so nothing too bad to report. The location is not really in the middle of the action: some... more

Comparing to other hotels in big cities Renaissance is not too far from Kremlin (main attraction for sightseeing), but taxi prices and Moscow’s traffic make this distance a huge problem. Front desk girls were nice and friendly, however manager asked by me for list of Aeroflot offices in Moscow handled me it in Cyrillic. When I asked for one in... more

Overall, a decent hotel with a good restaurant (Transsiberian). There was a great deal of confusion at check-in and was given keys to a room which would not work and then discovered that either someone was still using it or it had not been cleaned. It did get ultimately resolved by the security guy. The hotel is about a 20... more

Two nights in Moscow is not enough to do this sprawling and historic city justice - but if you do have just a few nights, I would advise staying more centrally than the Renaissance, which was built for the 1980 Olympics. That said, this hotel provides genuine good service with personal touches. The food is good - although the choice... more

Having stayed at several Renaissance Hotels and enjoyed them we thought we were playing it safe when we picked this hotel for the Moscow leg of our Russia trip. But from the start until departure our stay was marred by unfriendly and inattentive staff and the major refurbishment of the lobby floor. To be fair to the hotel, the room... more

This is my second stay at this property, and I’ll certainly be back. It’s walking distance to my office here, so that’s what drives my visits. First, a travel lesson: I erred by departing the US on a Saturday evening, which put me into SVO Sunday evening when EVERYONE in Russia was returning. I spent fully 2 hours in the... more

I made a reservation at Renaissance Hotel on 11 April, and cancelled on 21 April for a business trip in May. Unfortunately they had a "No Refund" policy attached to the booking therefore have charged £1,679.00 for a 2 night stay in May and refuse to refund. To add insult to injury I asked if I could change the booking... more
