We stayed at the Royal Aurora for 3 nights June17-20 and loved it! We are a family of 4, the children being older teens. The Royal Aurora is one of the few hotels that will accomodate 4 people in a room. The family room with 2 double beds and bath was quite large and well appointed. The room was very... more

My wife and I spent 3 night here at the end of June. It was overall a great stay. We had a large room overlooking the road at the front of the hotel. I had trouble using a calling card to call the US and after trying several times in my room I went to the front desk and she... more

The Marriott Royal Aurora was a nice surprise. You never know what you'll get but believe the good reviews on this one. As soon as you hit the door everyone is helpful and trying to meet your every need. The gym was fantastic as was the location, restaurant and staff. Room service provided a better value for the dollar. If... more

First, everything in Moscow, especially near Red Square is overpriced. However, this hotel is GREAT. The accomodations are as good as any Marriott I have ever stayed in. The staff is very helpful and most speak english. The hotel is also located in a very convenient place. You can walk to Red Square or the subway. I can't say enough... more

Great place and they treat you like royalty. Our room was like the best Marriott room I have ever been in. Perfect location, upscale neighborhood and blocks from Kremlin. Super Italian restaurant just down the street....a must though I cannot remember the name. Avoid the high end fish place they recommend though. This hotel was the creme de la creme... more

I have stayed at the Marriott Aurora nearly twice annually since 2000 and just returned from spending another 21 nights there on a business trip. I have found the Marriott Aurora to be consistently excellent over the past eight years and it certainly is an oasis in the city. As others have mentioned, decent hotels are expensive in Moscow and... more

A bastion of service and relief for us from touring each day in Moscow. Central location near the Bolshoi Theatre and Tsum department store meant we could usually avoid the Metro and taxis, but a block or two further from the VERY center (Red Square) compared to the Metropol, Ritz or Park Hyatt hotels. We were fortunate enough to use... more

Just last week I stayed several nights at the Marriott Royal Aurora Hotel in Moscow. There is no way that it could have been better! All personnel at the hotel that I encountered were friendly and helpful. Actually, I found three "new best friends". I checked in several hours early (no problem) and met a lovely and gracious clerk at... more

The Royal Aurora certainly deserves its high ranking in TA. Our stay there was excellent and particularly enhanced by the efficiency and helpfulness of all the staff we came across. We were welcomed by courteous and highly professional reception staff, all of whom spoke extremely good English. We had particularly requested a quiet room, which we were allocated immediately. The... more
