This is a comfortable and clean hotel located within a couple of blocks to the Arbat pedestrian street. Also nearby is a small convenient store and the Metro station. This hotel does not have the most friendly service staff. The waiters in the restaurant were a bit surly.

Ok...May I diffuse the last review...another reviewer may not have experienced a "real" gypsy cab...like the one legged driver in a broken down Fiat that wanted to take us to the Arbat (!) from the Train station. We took another gypsy who did take us in a Van but way over charged us. He wanted 60$ but we managed to... More

I had the most unpleasant experience when I asked the reception to order a taxi to take me to the train station for the express train to the airport. The message was clear: a TAXI to the TRAIN STATION. When the car arrived, it was NOT a TAXI, but a private car (also called "pirate taxi) without a meter. That... More

The hotel is located in a nice area, in the Arbat district. Staff is OK (although not everyone speak English) and breakfast too. However the hotel needs to go through some renovation. Everything looks old and the mattress are terrible! I got backache every morning after sleeping on that bed. Prices are very high, but everything in Moscow is... Anyway,... More

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 4 years on business. Each time I have had an excellent experience, stayed in beautifully renovated rooms and enjoyed the wide range of breakfast offerings. The staff is very professional, competent and helpful. This hotel is primarily a diplomatic and business hotel used by the office of the president... More

it is OK in general, you can survive. Rooms which are not reinnovated yet are prettu used, but clean. I have faced two problems: you hear every step in the corridor and it was damn hot (winter time). Location is very good with easy access to subway and restaurants and caffes around. Breakfast is good with mice selection. Wireless internet... More

This hotel seems to used mainly by Russian business travellers and for conferences. We stayed here twice during the month we were in Russia. The first time we had a Junior suite which was very comfortable, a double bed ( which we found a rareity in Russia), good bathroom very spacious. Breakfast was good with many Russian mainstays e.g. smoked... More

The hotel dates from the 1960's but most of it has been renovated to 21st century standards. It is owned by the office of the president of the Russian Federation and often used for visiting diplomats, so it is quite elegant with sophisticated staff. They are not outgoing, but highly competent and helpful. Convenient location, near two metro stations and... More

I stayed here for four nights while attending a conference. My room was spacious and comfortable. The free wifi in the lobby was quick and efficient. The breakfasts were adequate and, as the weather was good, it was possible to eat in the pleasant garden area outside. There is a small lobby bar in the hotel, useful for a late... More

The hotel is place near the Arbat Street (good place to be at summer evenings) and in walking distance to the main touristic spots of Moscow. The rooms are nice and clean. The hotel is under renovation right now but you (at least I) do not hear anything. I had a new room with a good bed and a nice... More
