A very average in all senses, boring. Some rooms are old, but not too used. Renovated rooms cost 30% more for the same kind of room, if I got it correctly. Adding one point for the very good breakfast buffet.

Good value for money. Could use a gym, though. Style a bit old, but it works; clean and gentle. The location is good in this gargantuan city. Wifi only in lobby is a bore when used to have it in the room, hence only 3 stars...

Considering its central location and moderate pricing the value in total is good. Rooms are very outdated, although quite large. Very close to Old Arbat street with all it has for a visitor, from restaurants to shops. Staff is friendly and most of the times is helpful.

Rooms are good size. You can close the door between the room where bed is and the entry(way)area, so you have a quiet room. Interior is old, but it' ok. No WiFi, but slow cable Internet is available. Breakfast is - I say - better than average in this category hotels.

Excellent location! 2minutes from Old Arbat street full of art and busy life till late night, 5min to Blue line Metro station, possibility to walk to Red square (around 40 min for trained walkers in good shoes). Hotel is old but clean and rooms are huge! beds are very comfortable, big spacious bathroom, excellent cleanliness!

Apart from the somewhat Soviet monolithic style of architecture, this is a truly excellent hotel. The receptionists were super and spoke excellent English, the room was both well equipped and extremely comfortable, and the breakfast likewise excellent. While admittedly not hugely cheap, by Moscow standards it is hardly expensive, and, for a hotel that good and that well situated, worth... More

We stayed for three nights at the Arbat Hotel in Moscow. Booking was easy, Visa Support was very quick (2000 rubles). Even a rebooking due to a change of travel date was no problem. Room (Deluxe) was absolutely fine, quite big, bathroom good equipped, showering can cause some flooding though, needs probably more practice. Room had safe, frige, TV. Arbat... More

the best part of this hotel is its location. This hotel is located within 5minutes walk from Arbat Street (old) and lot of restaurants, cafes etc are around in this area. Metro station is at the end of Arbat street, after which is Kremlin and red square (30 min walk perhaps). This hotel is expensive but so is moscow. Breakfast... More

Staying in Khamovniki

Neighborhood Profile
Khamovniki
Khamovniki could be considered a city of its own – here it’s possible to find some of Moscow’s most important cultural institutions such as the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Novodevichy Convent and Trubetskikh Estate, great sport locations such as Luzhniki stadium and aqua complex, and long and beautiful Luzhniki embankment. Pick your preferred form of transport to explore the area – bicycle or river cruise during the summer and taxi in winter as many of the great places are situated beyond a short walk.
