Great hostel! Very clean, stylish and cosy. Guy at the reception (Igor, as far as I remember) speaks english, spanish and portugues! Perfect location in the very center of Moscow, 2 minutes from Metro and10-15 minutes from the Red Square and very close to other main places of interest. Highly recommended if you look for a cheap and comfortable place.

Very nice hostel, walking distance to Red Square which was very convenient. Very close to metro. Many places to eat and shop around. Great helpful staff who speak English and can give you good travel advice. No breakfast unfortunately and only one shower for a big hostel so that was a disadvantage

Location is brilliant, 10minute walk to red square and let's face it, Moscow is a great walking city (when not snowing). Directions from airport and metro were very handy. Lots of great little restaurants/bars near by. Clean, easy access, we had a private double bed which was fine. Only criticisms would be lack of atmosphere, lack of staff recommendations for... More

Been there a couple of nights. Excellent location, less than 10 minutes walk from the kremlin a 200m from the Chekhov metro station.Easy to find (not very common when finding hostels in Russia), you will find the iVAN hostel sign when you reach the building. Excellent wifi connection (multiple routers). Laundry (around 200 руб), good english speaking managers. One weak... More

Room for couples, very clean with very friendly and helpful staff. Arranged transportation from the airport without problems and cheaper than others I researched. Best of all is that is very close to Red Square, markets and metro station.

Very easy to find...right in the middle of everything. 5 minute walk from the metro, about 10 minutes from Red Square, city center. The staff were all really nice, spoke excellent English, and were accommodating and relaxed. Bathrooms, bedrooms all very clean. Great kitchen for staying in and cooking. Only one bathroom, but there are relatively few guests so it... More

Stayed here for a couple of days in a private room. Location was excellent, staff was nice and friendly and spoke English really well, and was very eager to offer assistance if there was anything we needed. Located within walking distance of Red Square, and great shopping facilities in the center of Moscow. Clean toilets, clean beds. Atmosphere of the... More

We stayed here for around a week in the end of October in the economy twin room. While the criticism that the hostel lacks character and the sociable vibe that I have found in some other places is definitely true, the clean, quiet and warm place to sleep was exactly what we wanted. In addition, having visited a 'hotel' in... More

iVAn Hostel is just a 10 to 15 minute walk from the Kremlin and close to the Metro. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's not a big Hostel. As far as I understood, iVAN Hostel consists of two apartments that are very close, but not in the same building. Don't expect a big kitchen or common room. They... More

Staying in Tverskaya

Neighborhood Profile
Tverskaya
Tverskaya can’t be discovered with just a first glance, the neighborhood is shaped around a long street populated with well-known shops and brands. But it’s more than shopping that makes this place interesting. Take a few steps into the streets running parallel to the main artery to discover the charm just behind the mighty Stalinist style architecture. Comfy European pedestrian streets Bolshaya Dmitrovka or Stoleshnikov lane are a great place to start. Locals can be found here working, eating, shopping, resting and going to the Bolshoi Theatre in the evening.
