We are grateful for other reviewers' accounts, without which we would have had an even more difficult time locating this hotel. But once located, we liked it! We opted for a double bedroom with private attached bathroom - the room was spacious, clean and comfortable, if not somewhat dated. However, what we liked the most was its location - it... More

I stayed here after a St Petersburg to Moscow river cruise June 3-6. The location is EXCELLENT!, < 10 min walk to Red Square/Metro. < 5 min walk to the Bolshoi. In addition, there is a pedestrian only street in front of the hotel-very nice for breakfast. It was 80+ in Moscow during the day, but it did cool off... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. For the price and location it was worth it for us even though we don't usually like to share bathrooms as none of the rooms here have their own bathroom. Although this never posed a problem as we never had to wait to use the... More

It was very difficult to find this hotel. We got a cab at the Airport Taxi Stand at DME and it was 1100 rubles. Our taxi driver was great. He said that the hotel is on a pedestrian only street and he dropped us off and said good luck. He was very nice, but it did take a little while... More

Excellent location - very central and extremely good value for such a great location. Very clean and tidy, friendly staff. It's not really like a hotel - more like a flat where you get your own room with a door that locks. We had a huge family room and shared the bathroom which was fine most of the time -... More

Mt Russian wife and I stayed here in April 2013. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, and it really is a hotel, although without a dining room. But who needs it as the pedestrianised street that it is on is full of cosy cafes. We had a very pleasant room with an ensuite shower and wc. The location is... More

Myself and 2 friends stayed here for 4 nights in April 2013 and overall were more than happy with our decision to book accommodation here. First of all this place isn't a hotel but an apartment, the apartment consists of 5 private bedrooms, 2 shared bathrooms, a shared kitchen and a reception desk. Finding the apartment in the first place... More

The best part of this hotel is its location. It's not luxurious, but it fulfills its purpose in a 5 * way. You have to walk down the hall for the bath, but for the price and location, it is worth every bit of it. Based on my requirements and experience as a world traveler, it fills my bill, but... More

3.5 stars compared to other like hotels in cities across the world; higher rating for Moscow. Cost: Best value for your money Location: Secure and central area. You're within walking distance to the Kremlin, Lenin's Mauseleum, St. Basil's, the Red Square. The Teatralnaya Metro is the one nearby we used the most; about a 7 min walk. We were confused... More

Staying in Tverskaya

Neighborhood Profile
Tverskaya
Tverskaya can’t be discovered with just a first glance, the neighborhood is shaped around a long street populated with well-known shops and brands. But it’s more than shopping that makes this place interesting. Take a few steps into the streets running parallel to the main artery to discover the charm just behind the mighty Stalinist style architecture. Comfy European pedestrian streets Bolshaya Dmitrovka or Stoleshnikov lane are a great place to start. Locals can be found here working, eating, shopping, resting and going to the Bolshoi Theatre in the evening.
