By the standards of Moscow hotels, this place is really excellent value. The rooms are small, but nicely decorated, and comfortable. The breakfast is tasty, and the staff are helpful and can handle visa registration etc for you. It was a short walk to Red Square, and right next to the metro station, so really easy to get around the... More

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights on our city break to moscow. The hotel is very difficult to find and I am glad I had google earthed it before hand but when we found it .. wonderful. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffett adaquate. Room clean tidy and very warm. Very close to metro and about 10... More

Excellent location: close to Red Square and Kremlin (walking distance). Metro close by. Probably an acceptable price for a hotel in Moskow but overpriced in my opinion. Nights during the week are 50% more expensive than the weekend nights! WIFI didn't work most of the time in the room and rarely in the "dining room". Breakfast is acceptable but boring.... More

Could not wish for a better place to stay in Moscow - for the price :-) My wife and I spent three nights early July in Hotel Kitay in Moscow. This was a lucky choice as the metro is just outside of the hotel and the Red Square is a walking distance away. From Yaroslavksy station we took a taxi... More

My wife and I chose this hotel over other options at the same price due to it’s location. It is only a 10 minute walk to St Basil’s, Red Square, etc. We could have paid twice the rate for a better quality room at the same distance away or the same price for a hotel miles away, but chose Kitay... Nice and helpfull personell. Nice design of rooms, good location (near the metro and red square), but noisy (street and the club downstairs) and a bit threadbare (doors and bathroom). Noisy sewage pump. To expensive for such service.

I picked this hotel for it's location. It's literally 50 meters from the metro exits at kitay gorod station. It is a little difficult to find so make sure when looking you have the street number if the hotel! It helps! When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff and they seemed to be helpful for all of our... More

This hotel is located in a convienant location to many attractions. Many restaurants in the area. Reception was friendly, helpful and skope English. Hotel is split in two sections. The left side has a few rooms, reception and the dining area. The right side consists of two floors. The stairs upto the third floor are "bouncy" and noisy - therefore... More

I spent four nights at Hotel Kitay-Gorod in September 2013. The hotel is clean but not newly renovated. The service was good and English speaking staff in the lobby. And the location is superb, 20 minutes to the Kremlin, Bolshoj and other remarkable places and 30 minutes to gallery Winzavod. And next door to the hotel are good restaurants and... More

This hotel is just 30 minutes walk from Red Square, which is very convenient. Breakfast is very good and has fruit. The receptionists speak English very well. It is expensive, as all hotels in Moscow, so if you want to save money should book further from the center of the city and take the subway, which runs until 1 am.
