Almost impossible to get a non-smoking room. The rooms are small and stuffy, with almost no sound-proofing. I also shared the bathroom with a lot of insects... The elevator is something on its own; so be prepared to went 5 to 10 minutes to go up or down. A lot of administration at the reception and no-one being fluent in... More

As a general hotel is OK, location is close to the metro stations and also close to the Red Square by taxi. Rooms are comfortable and clean, not so well decorated but enough for business travelers. Surprisingly one guy from the reception can speak English very well, but mostly staff couldn't speak in English..

Hotel is OK. Could not get air conditioning on as the remote was missing and it took staff far too long to resolve this in sweltering heat. Breakfast was slightly farcical as no-one could speak English, despite being told at booking time that English was spoken. This meant I was asked to write what we wanted on a serviette so... More

It may not be in the center of Moscow, but the Mandarin Hotel is a 10 minute walk from a subway train that takes you to the Red Square after 5 stops. The hotel appears cozy with a comfortable lobby/salon. Rooms are rather dark and small, but they have essential amenities. Food was ok but service at the restaurant was... More

Hotels in Moscow are poor value for the money in general. But this one was truly awful. It looks like a posh hotel from pictures posted, but it is actually a smoke infested converted Days Inn. There is one staff person to cover everything - concierge, door, check-in...and for someone with a helpful attitude that would be a challenge. But... More

I have not stayed in many hotels in Moscow so I cannot compare with the others. Room was dark with worn furniture. Bathroom was okay, but the bath products were poor (bring your own). Free bottle of water in room but this was not replaced each day as in most hotels. No iron or tea/coffee making facilities. Staff were friendly... More

I was in this hotel on March 2012 for one week. Everything was fine just at the arriving. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned, and reordered every day. Everything was in order with my reservation. Food was ok and breakfast was very well organized. Free excellent wifi. They offered exchange at the reception also. The closest metro... More
