Recently stayed here for a few days for business trip, I was expecting more for a "top" hotel especially for the staff to have such little or no English as all. Very difficult to translate what service I would like for to done. The food prices were good and reasonable and loved the random entertainment at night. Overall, I was... More

Since my adolescence, Russia has been an inviting and enigmatical country for me. However, I had never had a chance to visit it before this August, when I was invited by my old Russian fellow, who currently lives in Kursk city. Honestly, my first impression was a bit disappointing, but then I found out that there are many advantages of... More

Because last two years many hotels ыtart to post their tripadvisor Stars, there is a temptation to verify the rate. Hotel is not bad. But it is not definitely 4* hotel on the US scale. Rooms are big, but their ventilation is insufficient. Thre is a linited facilities offer. Breakfast is not impressive. Clean. Staff is friendly. Dont buy drinks... More

I visited Kursk to tour the WW II battlefield at Prokhorovka. The Hotel Avrora proved to be an excellent base for my trip. I had a very comfortable room and the hotel organized an excellent tour for a day in a very comfortable mini van with interpreter, tour guide and driver. All the staff and guides were extremely friendly, they... More

Bleak reception area, but very friendly English speaking staff. Room was large, bathroom had bath shower and all those little things you need. Aircon was quiet and worked very well. Bed was extremely comfortable. Food was tasty although the portions were meagre and expensive. Only drawback was a very small, slow and unreliable lift. Location is not exactly central but... More

This is the best hotel in Kursk judging by the number of swish weddings and birthdays it hosts for the townsfolk. Social anthropology at it's best ! The reception staff were absolutely superb before and during our trip to visit the historically crucial Memorials at Kursk and Pokhorovka (quite a way away). The restaurant is good and clearly a notch... More

I was booked into this hotel by my agents, Audley, as part of a bespoke trip to Russia, in pursuit of my interest in military history, which abounds in the area. I was scheduled to arrive just after 0600, having travelled by overnight train, spend 2 days there and then return to Moscow that night, so my actual time in... More

For business and leisure overnights the best choice in town. Very modern hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Close to the city center with excellent taxi services and in front of the hotel you also can take the circle line tramway. Delicious breakfast and great restaurant. The perfect place for organizing congresses, workshops…. and parties as well. A surprising... More

It was quite a surprise to find a quite decent hotel in a fairly out-of-the-way Russian city like Kursk, located not far from the Ukrainian border and city of Kharkiv. The rooms were very spacious, the Internet worked very well and the restaurant was more than reasonable. A bar area was undergoing renovation (which I assume has been completed by... More
