We stayed in Hotel Savoy in Timisoara in October 2011. The hotel is very intimate, secluded in a quiet area but very close to the center of Timisoara (13 min by foot), and I think it deserves four stars. The room where we stayed on the 1st floor was very spacious, with a huge and very comfortable bed. The only... More

This hotel is very close to the Timisoara Cathedral, the city centre and its promenade. It also has a very good restaurant. The rooms are big, clean and classy. I have not tested the conference facilities, but I understand they have some. On the downside (of course I have to warn you): take your own shampoo with you, they only... More

Easy to find and had free parking under the hotel. Check in was fine and when asked, the clerk unhesitatingly recommended a restaurant in town (Casa cu Flori) that was amazing. The room was nicely designed--lots of white--and very comfortable. Wi-fi was free and worked well in the room. Bathroom was large and clean. An interesting glass elevator for those... More

I stayed at this hotel for three days on business. Centrally located, its a short walk to the center of town and other sights. My bedroom was very spacious and had a large private balcony that one could sit out in and look out onto the street and the river/park below. The bed was good quality, was firm and provided... More

I had a very short stay at the Savoy but was very satisfied in that time. The hotel is deceptively big as there is a large mainly glass extension at the back. The room was fine with everything necessary for the business traveller and the staff I met friendly and English speaking. The price quoted was the price paid and... More

The savoy definitely is on western standards. Moreover, the rooms are very large, unlike Hotels in other areas of Europe. The whole hotel looks freshly refurbished and the rooms have a clean and modern look. Service is very good. Breakfast is fine, ranging from eggs to cereals. The hotel has a bar which has a nice range of drinks. The... More

We just spent a month living in the Hotel Savoy and, being away from home, it wasn't a bad substitute. The hotel was recently renovated so it's virtually brand new and the style is supposedly that of 1930's art deco. The decor throughout is mainly wood but the main lobby and bar area has leather couches and marble floors. Our... More

Hotel Savoy is an extremly stylish hotel located in the heart of Timisoara's center. I am from Timisoara and I had a family coming from Finland to stay here. They are very demanding so I chose to book them a room at Hotel Savoy. They were very pleased with both hotel services and the ambience of the hotel. It was... More
