The hotel might be old fashioned (communist style) but the rooms are ok and the pool is very nice. Decent internet connection. Breakfast is average, but all in all for 145 lei/night it's good value. Perfect for a business trip.

The Belvedere is a budget hotel overlooking Cluj-Napoca built during Romania's communist period. It was a long walk or cab ride to the center of Cluj. For the money we paid (£15per person per night) for a two night stay we were more than happy with our twin room. Air con fine , shower hot and bathroom clean. Excellent view (room 516) and location fine with being on top of hill away from any town center traffic noise. Its about a 20 minute walk into town... More

The rooms are dated and small, but the beds are nice and firm. The food was decent too. We found the air-conditioning to be good, however some of our friends who were staying at this hotel at the same time as us reported poor air-conditioning.

Small room. Nice view but what ruins this hotel is its almost non existance air conditioning. Turned the A/C on when first entering the room and it was still warm 14 hours later. I would avoid this hotel.
