I liked this hotel. I got a feeling for Romania before the revolution. I had a large cavernous room which in the past was probably reserved for Queen Marie or high level Communist officials! Big windows that I could swing open and look out at the street and church. The bathroom was large, new and nice.

I hope when they renovate they maintain the ambience with modern amenities. This could truly be a romantic charming gem with renovation and sandblasting etc. . Parking on the street. Supposedly, this is/was part of the International Hostel program, so maybe can get cheap rates if hostel member.
The best restaurant is Matei Corvin. Excellent high quality Transylvanian food. One block from the Hotel Continental off Piatii Unirii. Yummy...
