We stayed here for 3 nights as a 'side trip' from mauritius. Reunion is a very interesting place to visit and this hotel is quite convenient. Rooms are nice and clean. Pools are a bit too hot, but fine. Good free wifi and okay breakfast. Staff speak adequate English. Many restaurants and shops within short walking distance and no need... More

Really nice sea view. The place is clean and comfortable. But the service is really low. We always needed to call their attention more than once to be served. Lots of room and people, that means noise, children = hard to be quiet. Anyway very pleasant holidays and the sea is amazing!

This hotel is what it says it is at the main entrance - a 3 star hotel. It may well be in need of a renovation like most of the other reviews say but if you are looking for a simple and informal or family trip hotel, this hotel is fine but it is not, on first impressions, a business... More

The hotel is well positioned with access directly onto the beach and the shark-safe lagoon. The hotel is large and is used by families and businesses. It has two pools and an outdoor restaurant. Meals are either theme buffets or à la carte. Food is good, generous and a little pricey but in line with the area. The hotel structure... More

We stayed at the Novotel St. Gilles in September 2013 and were somewhat dissappointed when we checked in. The entire hotel has a 70's look and it looks as if nothing was done after the hotel was huilt to keep it up to date. This counts especially for the restaurant area where hiddeous furniture is used and the entire area... More

The Novotel Saint Gilles is located on the South West coast of Reunion. The hotel itself is a 15 minute walk from central Saint Gillies but there is still plenty of restaurants around the hotel. We accessed the hotel via car and free secure parking is provided. This resort is suffering from age but would have been a stunner in... More

Stayed for 3 days at the end of a 2 week trip to the island. Secure parking and an easy check in, most of the main customer facing staff speak English. Room was cleaned daily and well appointed if maybe looking a bit tired in places (broken cupboard door handles, old grouting in bathroom) but nothing major. Breakfast was a... More

The hotel is very good value for money - an excellent 3 star choice. very nice pools - one of which is heated in winter - set in lovely huge gardens. The beach is just across a small road, and is sheltered by a reef. There is good snorkelling and the beach is relaxed and quiet. Staff are friendly and... More

Limited Internet access in rooms, problem when you travel for business. Sleeping ok, breakfast and service ok. Location ok. Small bedrooms, only std rooms, no superior or muxury rooms. So no upgrade with aclub card. Best regards David Busalacchi
