I have been there 11 times and usually go November thru February months since you can surf a private wave in front of the resort. It is situated in a good location where you can walk to the small town of Borongan or take an inexpensive trycycle. There is some night life located at the Blvd. The outside kitchens are... More

I am an American (from Arizona) living in the Philippines. I first visited Pirate's Cove in 2003 and it continues to amaze me every visit. Like anywhere else, the Philippines can sometimes be a stressful place. However, once you enter the gates of Pirate's Cove, all worries disappear. Pete (the owner) has spent decades perfecting the "Pirate" experience. You will... More

Before the last big storm I traveled to the Philippines and a friend had been to Pirates Cove and loved it so I decided after visiting the big city would like to try something different and I was not disappointed. It was just lovely and so much fun. The owners, Pete, Rhodora and their lovely daughter Kelly were so hospitable... More

Amazing place right on the beach and great conversations. Actually it was so unexpected to find in this part of the world like wow. This is why I left home to travel.trip to nearby island for some snorkeling surreal. And right near town and walk to the beaches. Thanks guys I'll be back.

I had 4 great days at Pirates Cove on my journey round Samar Island. Next time i will stay longer as there are many things to do in the area. I visited Divinubo Island (walked on the reef at lowtide) and an interesting cave tour with af friendly local guide. You can go snorkelling, surfing, visiting caves and old mines,... More

I found Pirates Cove to be a great place to stay. We stayed in a well furnished, clean cottage with A/C and cable TV and plenty of room to move. Best of all our cottage had a balcony that extended over the ocean reef. Wow ! So we could sit on our balcony in the gentle sea breeze at night... More
