Just recently I/we returned to Pirates Cove for a brief stay. The welcome we received from Rhodora and Kelly was like being welcomed home by family. We really like the Cove and wish we could have stayed much longer. I highly recommend The Cove to anyone looking for a unique hideaway. And that do not mind doing for themselves. A... More

the place is different and worth a try. went after yolanda and found it in good repair. outside borongan city and therefore difficult to get to and back from. while different, it was odd to find a place like this... seemed like a fantasy land. most of the amenities and services at the hotel were down or run down during... My family and I live in the Philippines. We have been going to Borongan once or twice a year for the past five years and always stay at Pirate's Cove. Its a great place to chill out for a few days... or weeks. Kids have plenty to do in Pete's fanciful pools and the reef always has something new to... More

I spent a lot of time at Pirates Cove between 2010 and 2012. Summer time here is great for boating and having a beer and bbq on the bay bay in Borongan. Rawis resort (just a restaurant) which is just around the corner from Pirates Cove serves a great spicy chicken and calamares in an oceanside setting. At high tide... More

The area and town of Borongan are cruisey and nice to hangout in. So if you want a relaxing place to hang out In... More

I have been there 11 times and usually go November thru February months since you can surf a private wave in front of the resort. It is situated in a good location where you can walk to the small town of Borongan or take an inexpensive trycycle. There is some night life located at the Blvd. The outside kitchens are... More

I am an American (from Arizona) living in the Philippines. I first visited Pirate's Cove in 2003 and it continues to amaze me every visit. Like anywhere else, the Philippines can sometimes be a stressful place. However, once you enter the gates of Pirate's Cove, all worries disappear. Pete (the owner) has spent decades perfecting the "Pirate" experience. You will... More
