it's been decades since my last visit but the place has not changed much, it seems to have been frozen in time. it's a good place to relax and experience a slice of rural Philippines. the museum still has an odd collection of artifacts and memorabilia collected by the Escudero clan over the years. For me, the most interesting pieces... More

Day tour fee is 1,400php during holidays and weekend, much cheaper on regular days. You get free refreshment (gulaman - small plastic cup) when you arrive. There's an available restroom at the reception's area in case you want to freshen up. Once you arrive, register so you can get your stub. The museum is near the entrance. Note that camera... More

The resort is located about 3 hrs from Manila. The main attraction of this resort is the restaurant below a waterfall and the artifacts from its museum. Worthy of a short visit when u want a short getaway ftom manila

Though expensive, this is a resort of western standards and I would recommend a visit. We took a riverside villa with lots of room and a fantastic outlook onto the river. The meals (included) are great with self service buffet. The entertainment is first rate.

We went to Villa Escudero last year and we had a great experience there. We went with friends and one child. We enjoyed our day tour. I do recommend however to go there in the weekend, when you like to see a cultural show in this place. Enjoy to have your lunch, with your feet in streaming water under a... More

For a day tour, it's a bit expensive, the museum + food package. If I remember it right ,we paid 1400+ pesos per person or something in that range. The food at the buffet, my estimated value for it is about 400-500 pesos per person, so we paid 900 to a thousand peso just for the place and the cultural... More

We went there last Feb. 12,2015. Disappointed with the food. Soup is not hot. Grilled pork, burnt. Rest of the food not warm (that needs to be hot). About the tour, you will just see the Chapel and the Museum mostly with statue of different Saints. Entrance Fee is expensive (Lunch buffet & Tour)

This place is pretty tacky tourist trap but is nevertheless kind of fun and worth a day trip from Manila is you have extra time. The bright pink, Barbie like buildings/cathedral are pretty hideous and full of weird collections which are oddly fascinating. You can also paddle around the lake in these unwieldy bamboo rafts, which is quiet and peaceful.... More

We went here last 14 February 2015. I went with my husband and one year old daughter. We only took the day trip package of PhP1,400.00 per person inclusive of lunch by the waterfalls, a cultural show and use of outdoor recreational activities. The drive from Manila to San Pablo took about 2.5hours. Same thing going back. We left at... More

Full disclosure. I was born and raised in San Pablo and consider the Escuderos distant relatives (even if they don't know it). I'd been at the Villa Esccudero several times, but thought to bring my kids and grandkids for their first time ever visit to the city and to the country. Villa Escudero proves to be a welcoming intro to... More
