We booked this hotel last minute as we needed to evacuate from our home after the storm Glenda left our city with no electricity. No problem with booking and checking in was a breeze... Only, we were not given a key coz according to the front officer, they were fully booked, that's why they ran out of keys... That i... More

Although this place is quite old, it is strategically located at the heart of Makati. Staff are professional, and accommodating to your needs. It is accessible to any transportation, near to gimmick places, restaurants, and coffee shops. If you are looking for a better value of your money, this is one of the hotels i can recommend.

We stayed as a couple on May 2014.The hotel room is really old. Outside and inside of the hotel show years of its existence. The facade of the hotel, the lobby, the elevator, the aisle going to the rooms, the rooms and their restaurant seem to exude that this is a very sad place. We booked in a double de... More

If it would only be : 1. the musky smell from the hotel lobby to your room, 2. dirty carpet in your room, 3. cobwebs on aircon, 4. poor CRT tvs in room, 5. advertised pool and gym but not operating, 6. haunted-hotel feel, 6. stained sheets.... then for the price and if I'm desperate for a roof for a... For the amount we paid, this hotel was certainly not worth it - the room wreaks of mold and mildew, it was old and not maintained well, the liquor at the minibar were half-opened, the aircon dripped (soaking a huge portion of the carpet), elevators were terrible (you have to transfer from one elevator to the other to get to... Do not stay here unless you have no other options. The bed was creaky, old, and just plain yucky. If not for the long travel and drive, I would probably not been able to sleep. The carpet has seen better days, the room smells thick of something unpleasant and the tv is from the 1990s. For location, its an excellent... More

After running away from a horrible hotel in Makati, I and my family stumbled upon Great Eastern Hotel. We were four adults - sisters, and checked in one of their 2 double bed room. The room was clean and it must have been nice at one time with its marble reddish tiles and semi red/plaster closets, frames, desk. The sheets... More

Chose this place because of the location, as I had been on a business trip to Makati City. Price was ok. Generally the facilities were so so and the staffs were not very friendly. The room was not good & we asked for a change of room at additional cost.

This is a post late by a couple of months, but hey I'm hearing the same reviews from other people who visited there recently so, it must be the same. I couldn't find the hotel I was booked and and was walking down the streets of Makati, since a friend recommended this hotel, I decided to check in as it... More
