I've spent a lot of time viewing and staying at hotels under the PHP2,000 price range. I've also bee increasingly tired of the seedy, beggar ridden and filthy streets of Malate and Ermita. Well I can accurately state that this hotel ticks 95% of the boxes, especially relating to the title of this review. The front desk staff are wonderful... More

We were looking for a place to stay because of the power outage, and luckily the hotel was able to accommodate us even in the middle of the night. The interiors were zen-inspired, looks very well-maintained. The room was clean and cozy, the only problem we had was that the AC took a very long time to cool the room.... More

We would like to thank TrishR01 for her review. We are glad we could accommodate her when typhoon Rammasun (locally known as Glenda) recently hit Manila. The eye of this typhoon, which had sustained winds of 205 kilometers per hour, passed only 25kms from Manila, knocking out electricity to nearly 90% of the city – including the Central Business District... I was going over a bunch of hotels in Makati on the interenet and most of the places were a bit overpriced or needed quite an update in their facilities. Stumbled upon Durban hotel, the prices were good and the pictures looked fine. Upon arriving this place, I was greeted by the bell boy and he helped me with my... More

Thank you for staying at Durban again. We have stayed now for 6 nights. But previously we have stayed for nearly ten times during the last 7 years. We like the closeness to Makati but the main reason for coming back is the very nice staff at Durban. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels all over the world but... More

There are so many hotels in Makati that are too overrated and pricey yet you don't feel the essence of "a home away from home". Hotel Durban, however, is different, it made me feel my home!
