Day 2 I actually thought I wanted a hotel with a few more amenities and decided to check out....however that was a huuuuge mistake....After making arrangements with a hotel down the street (... We stayed beginning sept 2014 just for one night, but we had dinner there. The situation is very good, not far away from the airport (short taxi ride) and in a save area close to Salcedo market, which we very much recommend visiting if you happen to drop in Makati on a Saturday. The hotel staff was always kknd and... More

My recent last stay with Durban Hotel was better than ever. The construction has finally been completed and they have an additional staff member, starts with "K" that knows her job well, with a smile : ) All the staff make the stay quite enjoyable. Well appointed rooms, with fair value will always bring me back to Durban. Wifi could... More

Arriving I felt assured that this was a nice hotel. Smart, newly painted and renovated.....and as usual I said at reception I would not pay my bill in advance for the 4 days booked, until I had seen the room, which was described as a suite...not for the tiny size of the room, but because it had a sofa squeezed... We would like to thank tflsjp for taking the time to post on TripAdvisor, and apologize that the viewing was not all that was expected. Ours is a modern, small hotel, built with an interior-facing courtyard that brings light to rooms that do not face the street. In this case, the reviewer’s suite had a courtyard-facing window with a solid-wood... More

I've stayed in a number of hotels in Manila, and this one is by far my favourite. For the price, I don't think it's possible to find any better place (the price is very low, so we're not talking of five star hotel either). I stayed in two of their superior rooms in their hotel and both were really nice.... More

This is a cosy little hotel in the heart of Makati, Manila. Free WIFI in a nice comfortable room with queen size bed and enough place to move about. You could not get a better deal Pesos:1900/- for a standard room anywhere else in just about the best location in makati. When in Manila I always stay at The Durban... More

Many thanks to DG-KWI for taking the time to review our hotel. We agree that we have one of the best locations in the city. We are only a short drive away from the fine shopping and dining at Greenbelt, Rockwell, and the Fort, in a neighborhood full of it's great choices in walking distance. Come see for yourself why... We would like to thank C10104 for her feedback. We’d like to apologize for the lapse in our front desk protocols regarding extending the Value Added Tax (VAT) exemption to Filipino senior citizens. Very pleasant hotel just off Makati Ave. Small rooms but clean and with complimentary WiFi. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good aircon. Small refrigerator in room. Has own restaurant which serves good food. Good location within walking distance to many restaurants and bars. No elevator so be prepared to walk up steps to your room.

Condo painting recently drove me out of my preferred domicile. I grabbed a quick room at P2,500 since that's what was available. I suspect the cheaper rooms are just as good, if not as roomy. Highly recommended. The Durban is quite simple, comfortable and well run. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant/cafe (Farfalla) on the front verandah... More

I stayed at the Durban Hotel in makati last August. A small boutique hotel in the heart of Makati. Room, rate 1700 pesos, staff and service could not have been much better. Have recommende the Durban to several of my friends already and will definately go back there next time I am in Makati

We would like to thank Mark R for his kind words. There is no better compliment than to have a guest say how they're looking forward to another visit. Our welcome mat is already out. Thank you again, and safe travels to everyone. More
