My husband attended a conference and we were billeted at the Tiara Hotel. It is near business and shopping complexes in Makati. One can walk to the big malls and back. The room is comfortable. Towels are clean and new. The food is standard. So if you do not like the food being served, you can eat in nearby restaurants... More

Nothing much can be expected from Tiara Oriental, but the location is undisputedly excellent. Really close to RCBC building and quite a walking distance to the shopping malls (well, not really a short walk, tho). The room cleanliness is also questionable, baby cockroaches were seen in the room. The aircon thermostat was not working well, so be prepared with socks... More

The reason my company billeted me at this hotel is its proximity to RCBC Plaza, it's a mere .30 km. walk to our Makati Office and about 10-15min walk to shopping centers like Greenbelt, Glorietta, Landmark and SM. Tiara is a small business hotel with basic amenities. I've stayed here a couple of times already on official business or with... More

The place is ideal for meetings/seminars. For the budget-conscious, the cost is reasonable. The hotel is accessible via public transpo since it is just a few steps away from Gil Puyat Ave. It is located at the back of AXA Phils. Parking spaces are available at the basement and at a lot across the hotel. But please be forewarned that... More

When in Makati Area and if you are not looking for a pricey place to stay during night this will be good..since Makati is a business area, it will not be easy to look for a budget hotel..they serve a good food..rooms are also good..you can have a good sleep..but if you are looking for excellent food, the hotel is... The Tiara seems to pick up some wildly mixed reviews on TA. The place has certainly seen better days and is long overdue a refurb; however my room couldn't at all be described as dirty or in any real way unsatisfactory, at the price. I suspect the people who give it poor ratings are expecting a full business-grade hotel in... More

This hotel is not practical for business use. You have to pay a charge for internet, the breakfast is paid for seperately and ordered a la carte. It is then served incredibly slowly, which is challenging if you only ordered a bowl of cornflakes. The decor is old, the rooms need to be properly cleaned sometime soon, and there was... More

They charge 2013 European prices in this hotel, but provide a 1913 service and décor hasn't been updated for 30 years. Protein with fruit in the morning, when the papaya was covered with ants. Cockroach catcher in the bathroom. Room wasn't cleaned although it was difficult to see with low wattage bulbs that prevented guests from seeing just how unclean... More
