For US$80 per night including breakfast, I booked www.asiatravel.com's 'Crazy Rate' and in return had a terrific experience. From the pleasant doorman who had worked there for 25 years to the male room attendant on the 8th floor and the staff in the dining room, courtesy and good service was what I constantly encountered. One of a few downsides only... more

Reading some of the reviews on there does make me think there is just no pleassing some people The negative comments regarding the restaurants are particularly puzzling The choice of food was second to none --unless you are vegetarian which I am so it did become a bit of a hassle ,but the breakfast choice was superb and I cannot... more

I stayed at the Manila Mandarin from May 14th to 20th, 2009 and was stunned at the old and shabby condition of rooms and corridors. The reasonably pleasant staff do not compensate for this definietly un-Mandarin hotel. Avoid it more

We stayed for two nights in the Mandarin as we were moving out of the Philippines, while our household was being packed. We picked the Mandarin as it was close to our house, we had a good corporate rate, but most of all, because of the inroom business facilities such as scanner, printer, fax, internet. Unfortunately, the scanner/printer did not... more

Service was good and always friendly. Mandarin seems to try to go the extra lenth to please it's customers. Location was not too my liking. Really need to catch the taxi where ever you want to go. Room was overall clean but my bed sheet had a cigarette burn in it and I got eaten by bed bugs. Wouldn't consider... more

Stayed with them as I have a promotional rate with AMEX. The service is impeccable as they recognised my name as a guest who as stayed with them before and remember my room preference without me informing them. I appreciate their thoughtfulness and them going out of their way to make my stay a pleasant one. When i go to... more

Booked 3 nights at the Mandarin through asiatravel.com, saved about 50 CAD/night. Nice tight security. Check-in was smooth. Front desk staff could smile more. Super small main lobby area. No complaints with the deluxe room I had. Great they accomodated me in a non-smoking floor, per request as I travelled with my son. Breakfast buffet was wonderful. Nice variety. This... more

My wife and I travel all over Asia, and this was the first time we've stayed at a Mandarin Oriental. All I can say is, "Absolutely Awesome!" The building is a bit dated, yes, but the Customer Service more than makes up for it. The staff at the Mandarin was on duty BEFORE we even arrived in-country! The Customer Service... more

Plus: Fantastic service and amazing breakfast! Great value - got a good price from asiatravel.com. Minus: All extras like internett, airport shuttle, spa, telephone and in- room breakfast was unbelieavebly expensive. Twice the price even compared to Hotel Peninsula. more
