This hotel really needs renovation. Lobby was old with bad smell. Furniture was worn out. Not at all expected from this hotel. However, the hotel staff was very nice and helpful! They helped with visiting nearby market and even helped us with getting cabs to airport. Not to forget, food was nice.

I stayed in this hotel for a few days to explore Manila. Great location in Makati with a mall and a nice park in walking distance. Service of the hotel was awesome, a really established 5 star hotel! If I would need to say something negative it would be the slightly outdated furnishing. That said all of the furniture and... More

Mandarin Oriental staffs provide excellent services! The smiles and greetings from every single staff will definitely start your day with a nice mode. They responded quick on every request and make sure all the needs are fulfilled. Breakfast choices are good. Skimmed milk will have to order from staff seperately. Ya... bulding itself does need to be rennovated. A bit... More

I was told by coworkers not to book here, but my travel planner went ahead and booked it. It was a nice hotel, at some point, but is getting a bit dated. I also got ripped off during breakfast, as the waiter never brought back change and took a 100% tip! It was clean and the other service was kind... More

I had a FANTASTIC 5-nights stay here at the end of June! I was visiting Manila for business, and I must say that the comfort of this AMAZING hotel made it VERY difficult for me to go to work, daily...LOL! The staff was TREMENDOUSLY helpful and ALWAYS available to provide assistance where needed! There are some PHENOMENAL restaurants on the... More

The rooms at the Mandarin Oriental in Manila is just a bit run-down for a 5-star hotel especially one in the Mandarin Oriental chain. Shower head was in danger of falling off and the bulb went out and no one came to fix it. The food was very good though I enjoyed the fresh fruits placed in my room everyday... More

As far as 5 star hotels are concerned, this hotel is simply not up to the mark. Fading exterior paint job aside, the interior of the hotel looks like it hasn't been renovated in decades - fading wall paper, worn bathroom tiles, etc. Aside from that the bed was something you would expect from a 3 or 4 star hotel...
