I stayed here for 2 weeks and loved it. All the staff are very friendly and are always willing to assist. The rooms are well appointed and generous in size. Wi-Fi speeds in the room are good and video calls are no problem. Housekeeping do a great job servicing the room each day and the hotel's security makes you feel... More

Stayed here during the month of July and it happened to be right around the time when the typhoon struck. Overall, the hotel did it's best to accommodate everyone who was stuck indoors and even though they were a little slow in service due to the high volume of people staying, they still tried their best and offered service with... Excellent service and attention to detail. Not a slngle issue arose for even slight complaint over our great three day long stay. The staff are top notch and always courteous. Better than ever at SL-Makati now... Can't be beat.

Stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip. We were upgraded to the Horizon Club room, the first room had a very strong musty smell and we finally settled in a room opposite the first one. This room still had a slight musty smell but decided not to be fussy. Room was spacious and clean, although I noticed some... More

Makati Shangri-La is one of the grandest, most luxurious and most beautiful hotels I have seen. My wife and I were privileged to have been given the opportunity to stay there for two days and two nights during our wedding. The suite where we stayed in was nothing but pure grandeur and comfort. The bed was big and so were... More

Service has deteriorated in Makati Shangrila. They always make mistakes with group bookings and charging for company events. Shang Palace restaurant service is so poor consistently--service is extraordinarily slow and staff are not attentive. This is not a hotel for corporate events especially with foreign guests. Not a good example of service excellence.

I always stay in Makati Shangri La during my business trips and the last time I was there was during the typhoon in July 2014. Given the force majeure event of the day, the service was unusually slow. However, this is still the best located hotel in town and close to the Greenbelt area where you can wine and dine... More

Dear Yodissen, Thank you for your observations. It is unfortunate that you were in town at a time when a major typhoon hit, but I’m glad to know you stayed safe and dry in the hotel throughout this ordeal. Your positive feedback and observations on the restaurants are well noted and appreciated. I hope to welcome you again in the... More

This is my first visit to the Philippines, so my review is based on the standard of hotels I have experienced across the globe as opposed to a pure comparison within Manila. I used the hotels airport limo service, which whilst pricey at almost PHP2,900 one-way, it was a great service and felt much safer than risking a local airport... More

The Shang is located right in the middle of Makati so is great for shopping and dining. The hotel is very opulent with an amazing lobby and beautiful ladies to greet you as you enter. They even have string quartets playing in the lobby area during afternoon tea. The rooms are beautifully furnished and quite modern. But the hotel, not... More

Dear Paul M, Thank you for the positive feedback. Location is a big asset for us, what with business and leisure spots merely steps away from the hotel. I’m glad you enjoyed the little details that make the hotel especially unique, such as the 14-string quartet that plays every afternoon in the Lobby Lounge. I do hope that despite the... More

Splurge for the horizon club floor and you can enjoy some wonderful amenities. This is our fave Shangri-la and will absolutely return. Service is impeccable, food is delicious, and location is perfect.
