Stayed on the 4th floor over looking Gloriette shopping mall. It is very convenient, walking distance to the malls and local food chain restaurant - Gerry's Grill. However, like most of the reviewers here, I think they will need some renovation. Wifi in the room were bad. Keep dropping off. It is better at the lobby. Cleanliness & amenities were... More

At face value the Intercontinental Manila might not seem like 1st choice for deluxe accommodation in the city. On older hotel, of dubious architectural merit sitting in an area where there is no shortage of alternative and newer 5 star properties. But from the minute you are greeted by the doorman, it becomes apparent why this hotel is still such... More

I spent a night at Intercon Makati City, which is in between the International Airport and Manila. The hotel is surrounded by retails and office towers in the major commercial center of Makati. My first impression of the hotel was -- wow these folks are truly trying hard in customer service. Everyone was smiling and greeted me. The agent who... More

Stayed at the Intercon in Makati for a couple of nights as part of a wider trip to Australia. The hotel location is ideal for the city centre - only 2 minutes walk to the Glorietta and Greenbelt restaurants and shopping centres and only 20 minutes to the airport. The ambience of the hotel is typically SE Asian, lobby service... More

Got checked into a smoking room when my preferences were clearly non smoking, and had to wait 45 minutes to be check in, at 6pm. Does it really take 4 hours to make up a room? Room transfer request was carried out the following day, but again only completed at 530 pm. Towels only arrived at 1030pm after numerous calls... More

It is my pleasure to again write about the Intercontinental Hotel Manila. I recently stayed there and was surprised by more great additions to marvel the guests. The Staff continues to be unique, in making sure that our needs as guests are taken care of. And the attention to detail of the Staff at the Executive Lounge makes our stay... More

Not really a bad place to stay, still have that classy feel to it. But, most of the amenities, the building and surroundings are old. My favorite place here is the Jeepney restaurant, with all that great food they have displayed from morning 'til night time dinner. The room I had was not bad, large enough for couple people. The... The hotel is in the heart of Makati city, the financial capital of the Philippines. Even if the hotel is a bit pricey, well this is one of the first class hotels in the Metro and what will you expect of course, it has good location.. near malls like Greenbelt, Landmark, Glorietta, SM, a lot of good variety of restaurants... The InterContinental Manila was one of the first (if not the first . . . I'm not so sure) foreign 5-star hotel chains to open in the Philippines. It set the bar, so to speak, for others to follow. Over the last four-or-so decades, it has maintained its splendor, an almost regal bearing over other luxury hotels that opened later,... More
